Over 20 years ago Jim McGill recognised that companies were charging highly inflated prices for UPVC windows and doors. With a loan from the Prince’s Trust he started to manufacture windows & doors from a small unit in Uddingston and offered Customers a top quality product at realistic prices. The business went from strength to strength and within 5 years moved to bigger premises to meet demand for their products. The UPVC Company now employs over 70 people and all doors & windows are made using some of the latest technology and production techniques in their bespoke factory in Wishaw. The materials used in manufacture are to British Standards or higher and all products are made to the latest safety and security standards and are fully guaranteed for TEN Years. All windows have gas filled energy efficient low E glass & warm-edge spacer to further reduce heat loss saving not only money but also reducing energy usage in the home. As well as windows, over 500 door styles are available and we also have a full range of French, Patio & Bi-fold Doors to give you easy access to your garden so you can take maximum advantage of the spring and summer weather. We cover the Central belt of Scotland and have supplied over 200,000 customers with new windows and/or doors. I was very happy with the way everything was explained to us before we purchased the windows and doors, this was done at the showroom in Wishaw, we went to the showroom in December 2023 and the doors and windows were fitted in February 2024.
The installation was done very professionally and speedily, the fitters were extremely careful in and around my house and very positive in their expediency of fitting out the contract.
I would gladly recommend UPVC Doors to anyone as the price was very good and their efficiency in fitting was great also.

I required 5 new windows
I required 5 new windows, because my previous experience with the UPVC door and window company was a positive experience I contacted them to get a quotation for the work. Ian Black called to measure up and prepare the quotation, no high pressure sales, just sound advice. We decided to go ahead with the work and an installation date was arranged. The window fitters arrive on site at 08.00hrs and worked all day on the installation. The fitters were skilled tradesmen and payed great attention to detail, resulting in a first class job. One of the windows had a mark on the glass, a replacement unit was ordered and fitted, no quibble or hassle just good customer service. The 15 year guarantee shows the quality of the product. Would defiantly recommend this company.

We saved an elderly woman £10,000 the other week she was quoted £14,400 for 7 windows and a front door, we done the job for £4.400 inc vat with no deposit and nothing to pay until she was absolutely satisfied.

Issue resolved
Full house of windows and doors, less than 5 yrs old, kitchen (2 casements and 1 fitted section) have long appeared to be leaking air, clear on corners when rest steams up while cooking, constant feeling of a draught and that there is a window open in the room (gas vents shut)
When i was eventually able to get a call out organised after disputing the discretionary call out fee (applicable after 2 yrs) Colin arrived to "fine tune" the windows and agreed that one casement was misaligned and the centre needed packing out. Issue does appear to be solved as cooking today steamed up the entire window. Slightly concerned I was asked if "anyone had explained condensation to me" All in all, issue resolved .

Had two storm doors fitted
Had two storm doors fitted. Horrendous job which must have been carried out by Stevie Wonder and Ray Charles.
Firstly the guy who came to measure the doors,measured my neighbours door and not mines.
Steve and Ray fitted the doors,which don't close properly have rubber seals lying loose,gaps below the doors and one door is a different size from the other,and they also broke the glass above the doors.
Sent email with photo's to Iain in sales,on 10th Oct and he said that he would pass my mail and pictures on to the installation manager,still waiting on a reply from him after 9days or indeed anyone from the company.
My advice is don't bother getting doors from them,just buy yourself a lump of wood and gaffer tape it on your self.
Update..5th Dec.
Phoned them last week.
The number for them is a premium rate number,but they don't advertise that fact.
Guy came out today to fix the broken glass and the gap at the bottom of the doors.
Guess what?
The part he brought to fix the gap was too short again,as they cut it to the same measurement as the orginal bit on the door,which if you check above was the measurements for my neighbours doors.
Can I take back my one star and leave a negative 9 stars.
