Synthetic sources do not make good supplements!
Almost all of their supplements are from non food sources. Made in a lab. If you were deficient in calcium would you grind up a rock or look for a food source. How about iron? Would you grind down an anvil or look for a food source? Which seems more logical? It's way more costly for supplements to be sourced from food. That's why when you go to a poor quality store like Walmart all the supplements there are from synthetic sources. At a health food store you'll see both.
Usana distributors always go on spiel about how it cured them of certain things. This is highly misrepresentative but is legal. They can't make claims about the product but they can claim they felt better after taking it. This is how they get around their false claims.

The idea that naturally derived ingredients are always superior to synthesized ones is a common misconception. The vast majority of nutritional research—thousands of published studies—has been conducted using synthetic or standard vitamin and mineral sources. Whole-food supplements, while appealing in concept, can also be highly variable, difficult to standardize, and often contain limited dosages of active ingredients.
USANA uses both naturally derived and synthesized ingredients, with every raw material selected for quality, purity. Each finished product batch is rigorously tested using HPLC, ICP, FTIR, and GC methods. Whether something is natural or synthetic typically has little to do with its safety and efficacy—once extracted, isolated, and purified, vitamin C from an orange and vitamin C synthesized from corn are chemically identical.
We respect that some people prefer whole-food supplements, and we understand our approach isn't for everyone. Our commitment to quality and science remains unwavering.
It is very rare to find a company like USANA
I have been useing USANA supplements for over 10 years. totally a life changing journey! Countless people have similar experience. I am also amazed by their customer service. it is rare to find a company genuinely cares about resolving issues while making the customer feel valued and heard.
