I feel so grateful that, on a daily basis, the decision-making is mostly lifted off my plate. I don’t have to constantly ask myself, “What now?” because the schedule is already built. I don’t worry as much about wasting time or veering off course because the app just reschedules everything for me. For the first time in a while, I feel consistently hopeful that I can move forward with my tasks and projects. I’m not spiraling into shame or paralysis every day. Having fewer decisions to make every day has had a wildly positive impact on my mindset. It’s helping me feel more aligned and confident in my work again. Not just more productive, but less lost and aimless.

There are definitely some functions that I wish they had like ongoing projects, but I feel confident that I can adapt without them and maybe they will come out with functions like that in the future.

Also, the customer service is top tier. I would give the technology a four on its own, but the customer service brings it to a five

Motion has changed the game for our task and project management. It's a big change from the Lean/Kanban system we were using previously, and it's been very positive.

There are a few bugs and quality of life patches we'd like to see in the software, but as long as the developers keep working on it, it's going to be great.

The auto-scheduling feature is great if you learn how to use it. I am finding motion really helpful for productivity, you just need to spend some hours maybe weeks to master it. It still needs to improve some basic features like keyboard shortcuts, offline mode, more responsive when doing many actions in a short time, more flexibility in recurring task, recognize dates and time from natural language when writing tasks.

You can still use it very well without these features but I would make it really much better. I made the change from other productivity app and it's totally worth it. The support is great, it takes some time to get a response but they always write you back.

I discovered Emotion from a web add. The best discover of my life. It is the best app possible in order to be in time with your tasks.

Motion has really transformed the organisation of my working life. Things are never forgotten, schedules are put in place which make sense much more than conventional 'static' calendars like Outlook or Gmail

What a scammy business. Made it easy to sign up. After I found out that it is not a good fit for my, I tried finding a way to cancel my subscription. I was told by a bot that I have to wait until tomorrow. When I returned, I was told: Thank you for reaching out. What happens next? We're currently experiencing a high volume of incoming requests, so our response time may be a bit longer than usual. During Monday to Friday, replies may take up to 3 business days. On weekends, please allow a little extra time as well. While we don't offer live agent support just yet, we're here to assist and will get back to you as soon as possible. 😊

This is a ridiculous procedure for a simple cancellation, unless the business model revolves around making the customer waste their time and give up in frustration.

This app is game changing. I manage multiple projects over several businesses with complex stages and tasks. The time that I have saved in rescheduling and setting new priorities to accommodate change is tangible every day.

This is so good that I have moved my personal responsibilities to Motion and I just let Motion do the heavy lifting.

So far I have been loving it! Easy to use and takes all the guesswork out of "what do I do next". It's become my go-to!

Motion is an incredible app and I really love all the work it does. Trying to run a business while in full time college is quite a trip, but motion makes it way easier.
The onboarding process is intensive, but worth it. And it really is worth the money you put in.

Feels great to check things off...has been helpful to build a routine as well, I never have to worry about having papers everywhere telling/reminding me what I need to do each day.

I love Motion. It took me a while to get used to it, and quite a bit of discipline to get all my projects and tasks entered, but now I pretty much can't imagine life without it. Motion manages all my tasks; I can't forget anything and I no longer have to drag tasks from one day to another. It all happens automatically. Not quite magic, but pretty close.

Another feature I really like is the meeting scheduler. I love that I can just pick some time slots, choose a time zone and any team members I'd like to have on the call, and send these options to a client to select from. It saves so much time and back-and-forth, and I maintain some control over the slots I'm offering.

I like how it automatically adjusts my schedule. I also like how you can break tasks up into multiple parts.

So the fees are very shady, I was paying for a plan of 34/month for motion without ai Capabilities. I tried to cancel the suscription so i could get the AI capabilities for 29/month. Now i cant access my data, i have requested support with three different emails, no answers from your side. For a software that markets itself as a productivity and organizative companion, I feel is lacking down to its core.

I appreciate how i'm able to audit my time to really learn how long something takes me.

We love Motion. It saves us so much time, and planning multiple projects goes very smoothly. The only downside for us is that we can’t plan more than three months ahead (which we do need for our work), and that we still have to manually adjust certain dates because otherwise things don’t work properly. Other than that, we’re very satisfied!

Motion calendar is a scam. There is no way for you to cancel your subscription, everything is hidden and they are using a lot of dark UX patterns.
I used the app for a couple of days, decided to unsubscribe. One year forward, and I again got charged for a yearly subscription which I never wanted to in the first place. Now, I cannot get them to contact me back and get a refund/cancellation.

Awful, do not install or pay for anything from these guys!

As a neurodivergent person, I love motion and have been looking for a tool like that for a while. It allows me to see the consequences of delays in my work immediately, and alleviates the need for my brain to remember and prioritize what to work on and when. I think the team communication functionalities and notifications could be a bit better, but for solo work I would give it 5 stars!

They have no notifications for when the trial is coming to an end. And when I reach out to support I get an ai bot that says it will process it but with no confirmation, no ticket number or anything. Be very careful.

Update: did get a refund in the end, but still very opaque support

A great way to have a better overview of your tasks and to avoid spending time finding what task you should do next.

The program has lots of potential. I love how it does help schedule things for me and plan full workflows of things. However, there are quite a bunch of limitations in terms of user interface that could be improved, especially for work use.

Additionally, when I first started using motion a few months back, I would get responses back super quick for any inquiries (almost instant). But the last few times I've sent in things, I don't hear back until about 5 days later or so (if ever). I still have a few different inquiries that have not been addressed yet either.

I also wish that I could use the mobile app more than just the very limited features currently, like to see my tasks for the day for example. Specifically the stuff on the top left of the web/desktop dashboard (calendar, AI day, projects and tasks, team schedule, meeting notes).

Overall, app has lots of potential but still has a long way to go before it is close to "perfect".
