Unfair mediation from Oficina Atención al Usuario de Telecomunicaciones
You have to be very careful when you try to terminate your internet/TV service with Movistar Spain. After completing the whole termination process including a voice recording on the phone, somehow Movistar claims I did not request the contract termination and continued invoicing me. It happened to me twice. Even though I had returned the router and fiber equipment at a Movistar shop. And even though a Movistar technician had physically removed the service from my home. They still claim I had the service running at my home. And what's worse, they even made up call on my behalf to their technical support even when I no longer had physically there service installed at my home nor the router of fibre equipment!
So, if you want to terminate your Movistar service and they tell you it can all be done with a simple voice recording, be cautious. Demand them an immediate confirmation email. Do not wait for a paper letter confirmation (like in my case) that may never arrive. If they don't give it to you, you will probably have to request termination using legal means (burofax, certified email).
A final word of advise. Do not rely of a fair mediation by the government agency called "Oficina Atención al Usuario de Telecomunicaciones". After a protracted claim process, instead of checking the evidence I provided was true (i.e. the fibre line was not physically at my home), they will simply rule that the customer must provide proof of termination. Which obviously is impossible if the process was done via voice recording. The seem to work for the Internet company instead of for the tax payers.
