The first camera had a fault recording sound, although image quality was excellent. The item was exchanged for another unit, which was much appreciated. The ability to select recording in daylight, night time or both due to the option to select according to time of day is useful, especially for our hedgehog monitoring project. The image definition is excellent. The playback screen is rather small and the lack of a loudspeaker to monitor sound is disappointing, but is a relatively small complaint. The build quality is good and the unit appears to be quite robust.

It seems a good buy so far, but so did it's predecessor made by another well known company, which now doesn't work, this is why we went for Bushnell. The pictures are good and the videos are also good.

Early days as of yet, good quality photos
Although it came as a shock, the tight closure of the access flap is reassuringly positive. No moisture should get in there. The first few nights of use have show that the camera will produce high quality video. I have been surprised by the infrared footage of visiting foxes and amazed by the clarity of grey squirrels arriving after dawn. The camera is capable of more than I have had time to investigate buy I should be able to make the most of it when I take it on field trials in a few months time.
