Bought this as an upgrade to my entry Orvis encounter kit which i bought 2 years ago when I first decided to try fly fishing. I'm not disappointed, it is a significant improvement and I can see and feel the quality difference. My casting has definitely improved and it is a joy to use. I can't imagine spending more on a rod now as this is everything I need, so definitely value for money.
Haven't tried it out on the river yet but ti looks and feels great
only used once so far but very pleased, good quality rod, light in the hand and casts like a dream.
Superb rod from innovative maker. I have owned several rods from Guideline and never been disappointed unlike some other "premium" brands.
