Seems to be the same as the Beretta cleaning rod and is also made in Italy and is cheaper. Just a suspicion?

Not sure how they do this for the price. The phosphor bronze brush is a bit weak (thin) but frankly the wooden rod is worth the money on its own. I like to have several rods so I don't have to keep changing from brush to jag to chamber brush etc. and effect an additional rid was needed just for the sake of it, this fitted the bill perfectly!!
