The product itself is a gel, you only need a tiny bit to cover a scratch in the blueing so it'll last ages, however it needs re-applying a quite a few times to get the desired finish. It also left a lighter blue mark around where I treated that just didnt match the blueing on the rifle, better than the scratch though.
