Awesome service

Friendly cashier helped me with both my bass and my boyfriends guitar, shopping is a fun experience for beginners and advanced musicians.
the quality and warranty service is exceptional aswell, the frets of my bass were rough and they, without issue, sanded them down for me so i could get back to learning!
overall awesome experience and friendly staff.

A wonderful experience

I am thrilled with my purchase of the Johannus Studio P360. I am even more delighted with the excellent service I received from Van de Moer Instruments. Bert and Joke delivered the organ to my house in the north of England following a very long and difficult journey from Belgium. The delivery was completed on time and Bert ensured that the organ was functioning as intended before he left. My trust was fully rewarded. It was an entirely positive experience. Based on which, I would have no hesitation in recommending Van de Moer Instruments.

Unresponsive & unhelpful

Company is very unresponsive/unhelpful. Long delay in delivery (2 months+) for digital piano was not communicated until we chased. They suggested a different piano but when we asked them to cancel the order and provide a refund, they refused and stopped responding to emails. At time of writing, issue is still unresolved.

Dear, the Yamaha company had been closed for about 2 months due to major updates on their accounting and ERP software. That's why we were unable to provide you with correct information at that time.

However, we have immediately been honest with you to you: on 27/1 you placed the order, on 5/2 we informed you proactively by mail that the delivery would take several weeks. We never refused a refund, it has been executed on the 18th of february.
We however agree that communication could be better, we are constantly working on it.

Scam

I ordered a mini ampli for my bass almost 3 months ago. They keep saying that it's coming with the next "package" but it never does. I called like 5 times, they forget about my order and the problem in like 48h, everytime I called they had no idea who I am, what I ordered, where it is and why. Last time I called was middle of April and the ampli was coming "next week for sure, call us". Now I am gonna have to call other 296592 times to get my money back.
The worst. Avoid the risk.

Ghosting when asking to cancel an order

One month and a half ago I bought a product which wasn’t in stock. I asked some questions and they were very kind, but when, after several weeks, I asked to know when my order would be shipped, they wrote me that they didn’t know because they couldn’t get in contact with the distributor, but they would let me know as soon as possible. After a week without any news I wrote them an email to cancel the order, because in the meanwhile I managed to get an alternative to what I ordered. I didn’t get any answer, so I wrote on the help center in the web site and I didn’t get any answer, I wrote in the “contact us” form and didn’t get any answer.
Then, after a week of ghosting I received an email which said that my order had been shipped...

Good customer service - No fuzz treatment A+

Had bought a Studiologic Numa Compact 2 Stage Piano which generally I liked. However, discovered 2 to 3 problems in the effect section (Delay and Stick 2 controller related) plus some other slight hick ups. After talks with keys guy from Aalst decided to go for a Roland FP-30x and could not be happier. Of course another keyboard to follow as the Roland is more a serious piano vs the Numa. Hence for synthesizer and alike will go for extra either midi controller & soft or hw synthesizer. Service in Aalst (by phone and then finally visit as I really wanted the black FP 30X) was top notch. Also kudos for the Antwerp shop section. Good people there. Recommended and worthwhile visiting (not everything needs to go via online shopping - Sometimes a visit in a real shop is nice too).

Van de Moer doesn't honour the adverted prices on their website

Friday, I saw a Godin guitar on sales on Van de Moer's website for 692 euros. I sent a message to know if it was a boxed item, well prefered to a refurbished guitar. A seller called me and told me he'd call me later to give me more details, what he didn't do. So, before to go for a short trip abroad, I ordered the guitar I wanted while there was a price discount on it. The day after, a seller called me to say that this guitar wasn't available at that price anymore since May 2023, the new price was about 1300 euros. The seller asked me if I wanted to order the guitar at that new price! I clearly declined his proposal... So, right after that I saw another Godin guitar on their site at 745 euros (apparently not at a discount price), I called back the same seller, he told me he was going to call the importer on Monday for confirmation and let me know asap. No news again, I called him back on Wednesday and guess what, same story, the new price of that guitar was almost the double. I thought I could have a dream guitar at an affordable price but I'm really disappointed. I may be wrong but I think they should legally bound to the prices they announce on their website. One week later, the second guitar I wanted (and was prevented to buy) is still "sold" for 745 € on their website. So, I've been refund wheras the retailer may have to honour the adverted price. This is not serious and not respectful towards the customer, this is a kill-joy and a waste of time, I would advise strongly against purchasing on Van de Moer's website.

Cancelled order in May. Still waiting on refund.

I had previously bought through Van De Moer through an intermediary site Reverb, and was please with the guitar which I recieved. This time I placed an order for a Seagull cameo CW on 15th March 2023 through IBAN payment. After hearing nothing from them I decided to cancel my order and ask for a refund on the 2nd of May, only to be told that they had just found out that the supplier no longer stocks the guitar and they would process a refund. I emailed again on the 19th May, 2nd June and the 16th of June again requesintg that the refund be made. I am writing this review on the 28th of June and to date I have still not recieved my refund. This has severely diappointed me with the service of this company.
