Don't buy a venjakob solid wood table…

Don't buy a venjakob solid wood table if you dont want it covered in filler. Ive had 2 table tops both with loads of black resin filler. The knots are now popping out. They are now reluctantly replacing it with a veneer with no refund of the difference. We bought it from beadle crome. The manager said he would refund for the table not the chairs. What am I meant to do with the chairs. I think the shop should have refunded all our money. Venjakob have been awfull. Won't buy thier products or beadlecromes again. Absolutely descusted.

What we ordered, was nothing like what was delivered.

Such a disappointment. We saw this design of chair at Housing Units Oldham. Their pre sales left much to be desired charging £79 to deliver these high-end chairs.

Of course, the chairs in the showroom were perfect and we ordered 6 chairs in Buffalo hide.

On delivery, 4 chairs were perfect and 2 had obvious flaws which we reported to the driver. He agreed.

Housing units sent a technician who agreed the chairs were flawed. He arranged for their upholsterer to fix them once he recovered from his hip operation. Time passed.

Eventually the upholster came and said there was nothing he could do.

OK. we thought, we will have to wait for Venjakob to repair them. That was when they dropped the bombshell that, unbelievably, they were within manufacturing tolerance. Nothing more to be said.

It is a pity that I cannot upload fotos. We have had lots of leather furniture over many years from Italy, UK and Germany. We have owned several German cars with leather sheets. Not one problem has ever been so evident on any item.

We are pretty disgusted with both VenJakob and Housing Units attitude. Basically, you bought it - just live with it.

Not surprisingly, we will not be buying from VenJakob or Housing Units ever again

I purchased two chairs from this…

I purchased two chairs from this manufacturer with very little use a leg broke off causing a lady sitting on it to fall.
Examining the build quality of this product I was shocked to see how poorly assembled this expensive furniture is.

DO NOT buy Venjakob products - You have been warned!!

No process control, Very bad quality, you have been warned!

After seeing table ET634 light wild oak at a trusted local retailer we ordered a table - Somewhat surprised to be told 14 week delivery time. However we looked forward to using our new table over Christmas!

The table was delivered 16th November 2022. Things got off to a bad start when the assembly team couldn't put the table together! The pre assembled central pedestal was assembled incorrectly! Not something you expect in a table costing nearly £2,000!

I was shocked to watch them have to take apart pre assembled sub sections in order to be able to put the table together!!

I then noticed damage to the veneer in two places and filler in another - I was deeply shocked, my retailer agreed it was not acceptable and placed on order a replacement table top.
The new table top arrived 15/2/23 I was horrified to discover that there was a dent in the veneer and the extension leaf also have filler in it!
After discussion our retailer agreed to change the extension leaf from the first table top into the replacement table top - This was duly arranged. however there was a huge difference in colour. We now have the option of accepting the original top or a refund - This has wasted a year of my life.

I have asked my retailer for the name and the contact details for the Quality Director of Venjakob but apparently they will not engage with end customers!

Ikea - apart from being a fraction of the price have better quality and more reliable products.

The other issue I have is that I have subsequently been to two Venjakob retailers to check the products on display. Every single Venjakob item was perfect in every respect!

This then would appear to be fraud by misrepresentation. The products you see in showrooms are not representative of the products you actually receive. You will not receive the same quality. Beware do not buy from this company
