Pet Care Advice
Customer Hub
Pet emergencies can happen at any time – including when your regular vet is closed.
That’s why our nationwide network of out-of-hours pet emergency clinics are open through the night, at weekends and on bank holidays, so we’re ready and waiting to provide expert pet emergency care when your regular vet is having some time off.
Our pet emergency clinics are the pet equivalent of A&E and our purpose is to give you and your pet the care and support you deserve, at the time you need it most, whether it’s four in the morning or in the middle of Sunday lunch.
Vets Now provides this trusted service to more than 1000 veterinary practices across the UK — from over 60 dedicated out-of-hours clinics and two 24/7 pet emergency hospitals. In total, we treat around 200,000 small animals every year — our highly-skilled team works hard throughout the night, weekends and Bank Holidays. So whether you’re in Aberdeen, Belfast or Portsmouth we’re there for you and your pet when you need us most.
We’ve also pioneered other ways to help pets, pet owners and the veterinary profession, such as our comprehensive referrals service and providing our staff with industry-leading training and development opportunities. We also support the pet blood transfusion charity, Pet Blood Bank UK. Meanwhile, our two hospitals — in Glasgow and Manchester — are home to some of the UK’s leading specialists in the field of emergency and critical care and provide care 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

We were looked after by the veterinary nurse, Clare, she was amazing, explained what was going to happen, knowledgeable and calm.
Can't recommend highly enough. Thank you for making a very stressful situation calmer with kindness and professionalism.
Thank you

The staff were reassuring, professional and kind, we had full confidence that they were doing their best for our very poorly dog, who we think had eaten something poisonous. Fortunately a happy ending, thanks to their prompt attention.

The two women were lovely and supportive and very caring and made sure not only my pup was ok but supported me through it aswell very understanding and very kind lady's was seen straight away when I called they told me to bring my pup to them with no messing or waiting about the only down side is how expensive it is which is a shame and probably why people dont use vets as its not easy to cover hundreds of pounds you expect a bit of extra cost with it being out of hours emergency but I still think its avery steep cost but the team them selfs were great cant fault them at all

Vets were lovely and got Robyn seen very quickly. But the price to walk through the door at £300 and one injection and charcoal on top another £307 is just ridiculous.

Fast and efficient the vets at 'Vets Now' could not have been more attentive and caring. Our dog received the best attention for which we are extremely grateful. We would not hesitate to recommend Vets Now.

if you value your pets life then i would seriously AVOID THESE VETS, on 15/09/25 we had taken our poorly dog to these people, we were told she needed an operation and it was going to cost £4000, we dont have that kind of money to had and this was explained to the vet we were dealing with with our dog, upon which they said we will prepare for surgery while you make some calls to find the cash. after about 15 minutes we explained we could not get the money, so we asked if they could set up a payment plan to which they replied NO. they were arrogant, hostile and very cold hearted, they said get us £1000 now and we will go ahead with the operation, we could not get the money, they didn't want to help in any kind of way, so after many tears they said there only option now was to put our dog to sleep, we had no choice in the matter as we didn't want to see her in pain. after they put our dog to sleep, they sent us an invoice for £400 and told us a payment plan over the next 30 days was fine, absolutly horrible people, they could have saved our dog but chose not to because we would not line there pockets, please avoid this place at all costs because they only think of there bank balance and not the welfair of our pets..

My Border Collie was diagnosed with a stroke, by your vet last Sunday
The vet did not check her ears, did not take bloods. Told me my dog was the 4th stroke case she had had that day, and she had to put one dow.
I was in her consultation room for 10 minutes, to be told I could take my dog home if I want. I was charged £396.00.
I stayed by my dogs side all night because that vet said, definitely a stroke and she will have another !!. I was inconsolable.
I managed to get my dog to my normal vet on Tuesday. I was informed it was not a stroke it was a condition called Vestibular, very similar symptoms however she could make a full recovery with care.
I know a vetinary nurse, who has worked in cardiology for years, she has never seen a Collie who has had a stroke and 4 in one day is quite unbelievable!! Unheard of. She said Vestibular is very common in older collies.
After 3 days I can see a great improvement in my dog. I will never ever take my dog to the emergency vets again. Your vet on that Sunday her last words to me was, we are here for you all day, if you need us however it will be another £335 consultation fee, unbelievable. !!.

We were away from home on holiday and our dog needed emergency surgery for GDV. The vets at Vets Now were attentive, reassuring and so caring. Thankfully it all ended well and we are so grateful for their skill, care and kindness.

The whole experience was excellent, from speaking to the receptionist when i phoned up to seeing the vet when we arrived, we went straight in and our dog was seen right away, we only had to wait about 15 mins whilst we were there as the vet had another emergency in, the vet explained what would be happening and how much it would be, all the care our dog had was excellent, our dog needed to stay in as she was very poorly and the staff kept us informed by ringing us with updates, we were able to pick our dog up after 6 hours and the difference from when we took her in to picking her up was amazing. Thankyou.
