Find An Emergency Vet
Pet Care Advice
Customer Hub
Pet emergencies can happen at any time – including when your regular vet is closed.
That’s why our nationwide network of out-of-hours pet emergency clinics are open through the night, at weekends and on bank holidays, so we’re ready and waiting to provide expert pet emergency care when your regular vet is having some time off.
Our pet emergency clinics are the pet equivalent of A&E and our purpose is to give you and your pet the care and support you deserve, at the time you need it most, whether it’s four in the morning or in the middle of Sunday lunch.
Vets Now provides this trusted service to more than 1000 veterinary practices across the UK — from over 60 dedicated out-of-hours clinics and two 24/7 pet emergency hospitals. In total, we treat around 200,000 small animals every year — our highly-skilled team works hard throughout the night, weekends and Bank Holidays. So whether you’re in Aberdeen, Belfast or Portsmouth we’re there for you and your pet when you need us most.
We’ve also pioneered other ways to help pets, pet owners and the veterinary profession, such as our comprehensive referrals service and providing our staff with industry-leading training and development opportunities. We also support the pet blood transfusion charity, Pet Blood Bank UK. Meanwhile, our two hospitals — in Glasgow and Manchester — are home to some of the UK’s leading specialists in the field of emergency and critical care and provide care 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

For the 24 hrs service the phone call was managed great, little waiting time in centre and the dog was dealt with promptly , only thing I'd say was the price was in my mind high for overnight care and when called to collect him I waited over 1 hrs in reception
But in fairness what price do you put on your dogs care

I have to say without a doubt that the hospital and vets and all the receptionist’s that who helped Molly getting well again.
They all helped me in the funds for Molly’s well being and her road to recovery.
Good bless you all

We recently visited Vets Now in Glasgow as part of the Cat blood donation program,
The hospital was very clean , staff very friendly & informative .Although two of my cats weren’t suitable as donors I was given very clear information to help explain why they didn’t fit the criteria.
If I was in need of emergency vet care I wouldn’t hesitate to use this animal hospital.
The reception staff were very kind and we were treated very well .

I feel that the staff are lovely however the pricing structure is absolutely ludicrous. £218 for a consult alone, then finding that simple drugs your vet issues at a much lower cost have almost doubled and finally, to add insult to injury, if you want to claim your insurance you must pay £35 admin fee there and then. Please note this is not for a direct claim. Oh no. This is if you want to claim your insurance at all as it costs £35 for someone to send the notes to the insurer. I cannot possibly see where this charge comes from at that level. I have asked my vet practice to consider a move away from Vets Now on the basis of price alone.
£218 is 4x the emergency cost for my own vet to squeeze me in during the day, for reference.
Please note, I have no doubt your pet will get good care whilst here, as with the majority of vets, you'll just need to consider remortgaging to pay it if you do not have insurance and, if you do, prepare to be charged for the fact that you do!

Friendly helpful staff, great vet who listened and then put forward treatment options in a patient and understandable way. Took great care of my daughters dog who had 5 weeks prior given birth to a litter of puppies. Explained costs clearly. I was very worried about our dog, but the great staff immediately helped calm my fears and I felt confident that my daughters dog was getting the best possible care.

On a Sunday morning, we noticed there was something wrong with our cat's toe. Our regular vet's office was closed, and we weren't sure what to do. Our vet partners with Vets Now, and we used the web chat on their site to reach out and explain the situation. They advised that we come in, so we brought our cat in immediately. We were seen promptly, and the nurse was incredibly friendly and patient. They listened carefully to our concerns, very quickly assessed the problem, and identified that the issue was a split claw. The nurse clipped the nail down safely, and we were on our way shortly. It was such a relief to get it taken care of so quickly and efficiently and with such care!
