Find An Emergency Vet
Pet Care Advice
Customer Hub
Pet emergencies can happen at any time – including when your regular vet is closed.
That’s why our nationwide network of out-of-hours pet emergency clinics are open through the night, at weekends and on bank holidays, so we’re ready and waiting to provide expert pet emergency care when your regular vet is having some time off.
Our pet emergency clinics are the pet equivalent of A&E and our purpose is to give you and your pet the care and support you deserve, at the time you need it most, whether it’s four in the morning or in the middle of Sunday lunch.
Vets Now provides this trusted service to more than 1000 veterinary practices across the UK — from over 60 dedicated out-of-hours clinics and two 24/7 pet emergency hospitals. In total, we treat around 200,000 small animals every year — our highly-skilled team works hard throughout the night, weekends and Bank Holidays. So whether you’re in Aberdeen, Belfast or Portsmouth we’re there for you and your pet when you need us most.
We’ve also pioneered other ways to help pets, pet owners and the veterinary profession, such as our comprehensive referrals service and providing our staff with industry-leading training and development opportunities. We also support the pet blood transfusion charity, Pet Blood Bank UK. Meanwhile, our two hospitals — in Glasgow and Manchester — are home to some of the UK’s leading specialists in the field of emergency and critical care and provide care 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

£300 just to step through the door is outrageous. You are just preying on people who have no other options

Daylight robbery. £300 plus just to see your pet then charge £35 admin charge for any insurance claim. The staff were nice and professional. Been advised by others about using Animal Trust for emergency vet in future, its a shame our local vet, who is brilliant, is linked to this service for its out of hours provision.

Had to take my cat in to be seen as she was bleeding , and possibly misscarrying as she had passed the placenta. Was in there for no more than 10-15 mins.£302 later , was told shes fine no concerns ( which is great). Was told she would absorb the kitten, now it they had listened to me on how far along she was, after me telling them about 4 times, they would know that doesn't happen , it only happens very early in pregnancy. That night she passed the kitten . £300 is alot just for a check over no other interventions . Just like she should of had a scan to check the remaing kittens. Which she didn't have ,was told just to take her home. I don't want to hear or have a comment back about how expensive it is to run an out of hours vets, your policy etc as I've seen that in to many replies back to people on here. It's pure greed , on potentially sick animals and owners that are worried sick. Money making at it's best. I still don't know how the other kittens are ,as that was down to the vets to check and didn't incase there maybe any more deceased ones.

We had a really good experience when taking our dog Bayley to the vets on Sunday 17/02/2026. Both the vet and her assistant were compassionate and efficient whilst they gave there advice after examining our dog.

We took our elderly dog for an out of hours emergency appointment following a suspected stroke. The reception staff and the vet we saw were compassionate and the treatment and advice given was prompt and efficient. Sadly, we had to take our old lad to be put up sleep at our own vets the following day but, thanks to Vets Now, he had a comfortable night.

From initial phone call, to leaving the surgery, mine and my dogs treatment was spot on. My dog had been attacked by another dog, and I was quite out of my mind. I've never used an "out of hours" service before and was guided through the process clearly. I was sent directions of where I needed to go, and seen very promptly. Well done Vets Now - Telford.

Very caring team and got the problem sorted very quickly. They were ready and waiting for us and explained the treatment process thoroughly. My only negative comment would be that it is very expensive and what would happen if someone couldn't pay the fee?

Very reassuring visit conducted by a very knowledgeable vet. It put our mind at rest to know we had done the best thing for our cat.

Very friendly staff, knowledgeable and empathetic to our case with 2 dogs that had eaten 400g of grapes
The staff kept us informed at all stages and cannot be faulted
However the £820 fee to make 2 dogs sick is extortionate hence 3 stars
This does not reflect on the staff, but the business model itself

Out of hours consultation you wanted £302.00 tonight discusting service making money out of sick animals! Safe to say we did NOT use your discusting service! tonight!😡😡😡😡😡😡 You have deleted my comment on Facebook twice! I would give 0 starts if I could!!
The woman when I called didn't listen kept saying bring your dog in when it was a cat! Making money from sick animals they say it's more expensive running a veterinary clinic at night and weekends than the day! No it's just pure greed!.No care or compassion there should be laws to stop vets like these ripping people off
❣️If you are from Telford go to Animal trust Shrewsbury out of hours is sensible price of £79. We went there 1.6.25❣️
