Absolute Scam

I live near the border and have my own PO Box in the US but as the border has been closed for 3+ months I asked them to fwd the boxes to Viabox so I can have them sent to me. I made a few more small purchases as the items I order are very small. When I clicked to ship the "system" automatically guessed what the consolidated weight was going to be and charged me $143. Obviously I can't argue so I had to accept it and pay. I received the box today and it's 10"x8"x7" and 5lbs. Even on the UPS Website with no discount that's $28. I have a discount at UPS through PayPal (like the rest of North America) and it's $10!!!! They charged me 14 times the price that's easily available. Don't believe their "no hidden fees" and get lured in - they scam you once they have all your items and all you can do is pay.

Listen to your fellow Trustpilots - these folks are crooks

I never leave reviews. Ever. But this company has finally prompted me to do so after many years of NOT doing so.

Won't ship my small packet to Ireland. Had it shipped to them from a vendor ("splurged" for the $2.99 first class post) and they will not send it. My options are for them to dispose of the item for free (how generous), pay $20 to return to sender or ship to a US address whereby photo ID would be needed (not happening based on another reviewer). Yes, it's $20 but it shouldn't be nearly SEVEN times the price to simply send it back.

Avoid these crooks like they are riddled with Covid - I'll go back to myus.com
Sure, I get rogered with import duty fees to Ireland but through no fault of their own and at least I get it fast via fedex (three orders out of three without issues)

Violated by Viabox- stay away!!

Stay as far away as possible!!
Scam! Thieves!
**Long post but you should read if you don’t want to feel violated by this company**
I ordered a pet product online that would not ship to Canada. Signed up for Viabox- seemed legitimate. Was I wrong!!! 2 identical boxes, 8.9kg each, 24x25x33” in size- shipping from Portland to Ontario,Canada- can you guess how much??? Try 1400Canadian (1000US)!!??? Once I realized I had been had I tried to organize a return- guess what? Fedex was going to charge $500US to get it back to California. Frustrated and defeated- agreed to pay their extortionate rates with my Visa, then guess what?? They demanded 2 pieces of government photo ID and a letter signed by a NOTARY?? Seriously??? I have bought items of far greater value online and not had to go through such hoops. Due to COVID they agreed to waive the notary signature. So I sent copies of my drivers license and health card, with the license number/health card number and birth dates redacted. I just had a bad feeling about this company and was not going to let them have personal information that could be used for identity theft. I am not a paranoid person- but something about my dealings with this company got my hackles up. They would not accept. By this time they were asking me to pay with BITCOIN (seriously??) to avoid having to submit unredacted documents. Wow! This outfit was seeming shadier by the minute.
In the end, my vendor ended up trying to help me by getting me a prepaid shipping label to get my parcel out of Viabox’s warehouse (guess what? Their prepaid label from Viabox’s warehouse in Portland to NY was $220 US). Wonder where the “savings” of mass shipping went with Viabox charging me over $1000US to get it from Portland to just over the border to Ontario. No duties or taxes were included in their rates either.
Anyway- I still don’t have my parcel- at this point Viabox has refused to send along my parcel- they will only accept a prepaid shipping label paid for by the Vendor and refuse to send my parcel anywhere but back to the vendor. I even offered to pay them a handling fee just to get them to slap on the new label and ship off my item- nope.
So, I am back to square one. They still have my stuff.
Please. Stay away from these sharks. You are better off just opening your own FedEx/UPS account and creating your own label to send to the vendor instead of entrusting this useless third party to gouge you. There isn’t any savings.
They don’t have a phone number (you will never speak to a human) and want you to pay with a pseudo currency. They hold your parcel hostage.
Their operation should be illegal.

Frustrating and scary

Used them In the past with no real issues. But recently been an absolute disaster

Needed stuff urgently. But they were offline for a week with no communication. Then they lost a package. They miraculous found it after fedex tracked it to their door.

Their customer service is atrocious. Rude and unhelpful.

It then takes ages for them to finally ship the items. The courier costs are seriously elevated - this is how they make their money.

Last time ever. Never again. Frustrating and scary if you ship anything of value.

Loads of alternatives. Just don’t do it.

Do yourself a favour and AVOID

Based in Portland Oregon USA. This freight forwarding company are a complete waste of your time. How they continue to operate is a mystery. I had some items sent to them, with the idea of combining several fright charges, all they had to do was get my items to Los Angeles, less than 1000 miles south of their location. Its now been 13 days and the items are where ?, they don't know. Avoid for your piece of mind.

Quick and easy

I watched an unboxing review on Youtube & they mentioned that they used this service so I decided to try it myself.

I'm on my 5th or 6th shipment now ( I lost count) and so far I've been happy with their service.

Viabox is back on line again

Viabox is back on line again. I find them (generally) great.

Aside from their website being down, no communication and nothing to say what happened for a week - I find them quick and efficient.

Their charges are slightly on the high side and choices of shipping company is limited. You get free storage for six months and no nonsense add on charges during the consolidation process or annual fee.

Offers consolidation to remove unwanted packaging.

Viabox is not bad as many says

I have read many negative reviews on Viabox but i think most of the people don t understand that viabox is not the cheapest way to send just one packet from USA to the rest of the world but instead the best way to save shipping cost from multiple purchases from different stores and repack in less boxes than the original, also some stores don t ship outside USA so in this way you can have the goods dispatched to your USA address, also you can store your purchases for 180 days without fees in the viabox warehouse so you have time to collect and save money on shipping, the help desk was very supportive and really cleaned up the mess that sometime i have done with my orders, hope this review help others to better understand in which way you can save money with via box

I don't know how to get my shipment

I register 10 days ago with Viabox, I used their address to ship from Amazon.

For the last 4 days I'm trying to access the website and it is down.

I called customer service and no one is answering.

I don't have a solution how to get my stuff or how can I ship it.

Any advise how to get my stuff or report them to police

Thank you in advance.

The shipping fees were reasonable

I like that they don't charge monthly subscription fees and the shipping fees were reasonable.

I just received my third package safe and sound & I'm happy with this forwarding service.

I would use them again whenever I need to forward packages.

i signed up for Viabox because I needed…to ship to my country from the US

i signed up for Viabox because I needed to get a few things shipped. I ordered a diet protein powder and a bottle. The order came to about $60. Viabox advertised on their website that they could ship it cheaply they wanted to charge me $264 JUST TO SHIP!!!!

so I then ordered the identical products from iHerb and got them to ship to my country. iHerb charged $7 shipping

I asked them if they could lower shipping prices... They replied and told me I could get a slightly cheaper rate but not much.

THIS IS A SCAM plain and simple

High risk of losing money de facto scam

High risk of losing money without possibility of any recoveries. My own experiences was simple, they scammed me because I never get what I ordered and they never refund me. For those wondering, this is what they do, they don't scam every order and every customer, however, high chances are that your money will be used to service a previous user, perhaps 1 in 9 orders are processed in the non-scam manner and 8 orders are scammed. This one person think it's a legit service does not mean this is not a scam. This is exactly why there is good reviews from time to time. But no one wants to be among that 8. Final words, be extremely careful, stay away from viabox, or prepare to be scammed.

DO NOT SHIP WITH THEM!

Be careful! Do not ship with them!
I thought I give them a try but the shipping rates were almost twice as much as advertised. The delivery company lost my package and they don't help at all! It's been two months. I paid for insurance but they also told me that the insurance actually only covers $100 and not the whole value. Shipping costs and import duties are also not covered. Now I'm out $300 and they use extortion methods trying to convince to close my PayPal dispute so that I can't even recoup my shipping costs. BE WARNED!
