Not chrome. Just plastic.
It looks great but immediately broke into two pieces. The instruction diagram was of a completely different item so could not be followed.

Brilliant item sturdy and works brilliantly for bath towel in my en-suite
Needed to replace some old robe hooks that were fixed to high with screws on the tiled wall. These suction hooks allowed us to place in a better position than the old olds without more holes in the tiles.
Does what it says on the packet.
