Worst Hosting i have ever been with

Worst Hosting i have ever been with. Advertise a free teamspeak server. After we bought they say sorry its been discontinued last year. The following day it went offline, for almost two weeks. Asked for a refund and no answer. After 5 tickets still no answer. all still open.
Would not recommend to my worst enemy.

I will start from the very beginning I bought the server 12.05.2019. According to the description, the server will be available immediately - it was started on 16/05/2019. Since then there are no server problems or unknown status, help can be forgotten if someone writes anything, the ticket is most often closed Unanswered. I DO NOT RECOMMEND a waste of money.

Extremely poor service and customer support…

Extremely poor service and customer support. I paid for a Conan server to be hosted, and after 3 weeks it died for some reason. Despite raising a ticket for assistance, my tickets were closed without any action or response.

The only way I could get anything out of anyone was to use the chat functionality. It seems to be maintained/manned by a single person, who couldn't help me with my problem. They said they'd escalated the issue I was having to management via a ticket which I couldn't track myself and never got any feedback on.

Eventually the server was fixed by myself, by using their control panel to completely reset my server. Apparently they'd tried to do this on my behalf and did not succeed.

I raised a complaint in regards to the atrocious service and response times, as i'd also been billed for hosting while the server was STILL down.

My complaint ticket was merged with my technical ticket, and like all my other tickets closed without any reply what-so-ever.

Avoid this hosting provider like the plague.

Pretty much just a scam. DO NOT USE.

The server they provided had stability issues that was never resolved through their support and they proceeded to just start ignoring my tickets when I was asking for suggestions on things I could tell people for stability. Then when one of the guys in my group decided they wanted to build a server and we started using that they wouldn't cancel my service and charged me again, when I demanded a refund they continued to ignore me and actually closed the ticket. This site is a SCAM do not work with them

I have ordered a Natural Selection…

I have ordered a Natural Selection server at ViLayer five month ago.
Unfortunately, the company does not provide this game, although it is listed on the Website. However, I requested a refund and opened 10 tickets which all got closed without any further reaction. Dylan, the (only!) supporter you can chat with cannot help me - he says I have to open a new ticket.
I regret my order and can not recommend you to spend your money there.

Hello,

Hello,

I own a community called DayZend I have had a server with ViLayer now for around 3 years for the DayZ Mod, Standalone and now I also have insurgency.

They have had their up's and downs, however, with the recent changes made to the company in regards to the public side (twitter, announcements etc) being updated I thought I would make this review.

I would now recommend this company to my friends again, Lee, Dylan are great guys and are really putting effort in to change the view of ViLayer.

You'd be surprised

At first when my brother and i got this server it was laggy and inconsistent altough affordable but the service has really improved in the past 2 months both in terms of stability and customer support. When you're dealing with server hosting services in general things don't always work properly and it's normal for servers to crash down or run slowly every now and then. This is where customer support makes the difference and vilayer's really seems to be raising the stakes as to what should be par for this kind of service. On the other hand your server has to contain vilayer in it's name and you have to pay to get rid of that feature, it certainly would be nicer if they would make an incentive on the ad instead of making you pay to get rid of it

Hello,

Sorry for your bad experience as a player on one of our game servers, however, we try to provide the best possible performance for our games services.

As a big community, we recommended the owner of the server to switch to a dedicated server rather than a shared box due to the traffic and performance your service used up, however, ignored our suggestion and submitted a fraudulent chargeback against our policy.

Unnaceptable

been using this server company with a gaming community. server would regularly go down and would take hours if not days to fix. further to this they would often delete or close support tickets without actually applying any action to them. would give a zero star however that is not possible on trust pilot so must stick to 1 star.

I was originally a sponsored account… (EDITED 11/04/19)

I was originally a sponsored account for ViLayer, agreed with Lee over 5 years ago.

I had made previous reviews on here before, but removed them due to the lack of service I was receiving even as a free sponsored account, which is ridiculous considering the point of sponsor accounts.

The original agreement I had was a staff account which was given to me by a previous member of staff who has since left the company due to disagreements with the owner. When Lee disappeared for a few years then came back, I had informed him that i was still around which he appreciated, so allowed me to keep the package under the agreement that I put in 5 star reviews on trust pilot to "Combat against the clan that negative review bombed" him.

Despite having a free account, the servers went down all the time, usually taking upwards 3-6 days to get even seen to or up to several weeks to actually solve the problem.

I'm sure anyone else who's dealt with ViLayer servers have seen the dreaded "Unknown" server status appear, they seem to appear randomly and affect different regions at different times, to combat this I had to host 2 severs in different areas of the world to try and allow the community I'm part of to actually play that night.

Speaking of community, according to ViLayer the only way to prove you're part of a community is "With a website", or something else. It seems that ViLayer forget that Discord is a thing now which many communities now use instead of a website due to the fact it's essentially a free community at the click of a finger, they found out very quickly how many people appreciated their "Customer Service" when they tried to run their own discord, the support channels were filled with people complaining that their servers were still not working, showing as unknown or generally not working because the ticket that they've had sitting for over a month or more had still not been seen to.

Eventually ViLayer shut down the discord and went back to hiding behind a ticket system.

Lets speak about the other staff (Of which there is 1)

Dylan was, apparently, put in charge of the sponsored accounts. Repeatedly I would butt heads with this "Admin". He would question the community I was part of and the reasons behind my sponsored account. It appears he has no respect of authority or chain of authority within a company, despite explaining that I had made a 1 to 1 agreement with the CEO of ViLayer, this apparently meant he could ignore this agreement and revoke my sponsorship on something as simple as "You haven't provided X info and I'm in charge of sponsors".

This was the usual confrontation I would receive, they would usually try when I would enquire regarding either the service going down completely, or to make a simple change such as a basic file permission exception (Takes 2 minutes, as of today still hasn't been done, raised on the 15/03/2019). The reason for this is because Dylan has no admin access to the servers themselves, frankly they're a glorified PA to the CEO of ViLayer who has some form of chip on their shoulder.

Regardless, I'm now free from this s**t-show of a server host that do not stick to agreements and contracts. If you see other 4-5 star reviews on this site, they're most likely sponsored as the requirement of being a sponsored account is to post good reviews on this site.

Good riddance to bad rubbish.

PS: I'm fully expecting ViLayer to reply to this with claims of something I did wrong, they're very good at passing the blame onto others as "Salty Clans" or something.

Given the community I'm part of is over 400 strong, ViLayer based the server usage on "How much is it used all day" rather than the individual purpose of the server itself (We used it daily in the evenings as people have jobs/school hosting ArmA missions for some popular YouTube personalities).

Given this when the server went down I was stuck trying to defend a clearly under-performing and unprofessional host.

EDIT 11/04/19:

As I have no way of responding to Vilayers expected response, I shall do so in an edit.

We did indeed speak on a few occasions regarding the clan package, of which it was proven on multiple occasions, originally at first completely calmly without issue, despite your rude and utterly unprofessional way of handling the matter when the evidence was provided it was then agreed that the community did indeed exist and was being used for the intended purpose.

The last time we spoke was due to the failure of even hitting your mentioned SLA time (SLA = Service Level Agreement), you stated 24 hours to get a basic config change done, then when you found out I was sponsored you stated same day, 48 hours later when I chased the issue you then started to press the reason for my sponsored account again, despite this already being resolved, as I was fed up with the poor SLA times as well as the confrontational and accusations you took towards me on multiple occasions I had enough of it and decided to cut ties and leave.

You state you do your best to support clans, until they realise you don't stick to SLAs, you don't actually support them and take days to do basic changes that overall take any competent server owner minutes to complete, since leaving I have already rented my own dedicated box with another company and have full control over this, things that usually took weeks I can now do myself in a matter of minutes which boggles my mind as to why the SLAs were so poor.

The package originally wasn't free, I was paying for it up to a point, the point being when Lee disappeared for 3 years without a trace causing a majority of the 1 star reviews you see on Trust Pilot today. But you still continue to try and hide behind the "Clans review bombed us". Why is it only ViLayer that seem to have this problem then?

The reviews that community members made were not under my recommendation, in fact I had advised members NOT to post reviews unless they had directly used the services from ViLayer. The reviews that were removed was due to me speaking to those individuals to remove them and as such they did, other reviews from community members were due to them actually trying the services (or lack there of) and seeing the same issues I had mentioned in the initial review here.

You didn't terminate due to this, you terminated due to you not getting your way despite me providing evidence to your claims on multiple occasions, you just chose to ignore it.

What I found more astonishing was your failed attempt to try to censor all the poor reviews on this site, stating that because they had no order number or invoice information that they were illegitimate reviews, this included reviews from years ago (I checked and laughed).

As you've clearly found out, the trust-pilot policies clearly state that reviewers do not need to provide this, they just have to of used the service provided by the company under review.

This also includes members of communities who use the servers and notice them going down all the time, which they did.

All I can say at the end of this, is good riddance and I've been happier ever since switching to hosting the dedicated hosts myself.

Hello David,

I and you spoke on a few occasions in regards to your clan package and the usage of the package myself and Lee both have access to deal with sponsored accounts.

The last and final time we spoke I did ask you about the free package we have provided you for years now because of the slots of the package and the servers you have online that was only one game server for Arma 3.

We do our best to support clans in the gaming community the best we can, however, you were utterly rude and demanded we resolved the issue than discuss what I was trying to bring up about the free package we have given you for years with little to nothing in return.

You then decided to tell your community to make false reviews (they have now been removed), this shows what type of community we sponsored hence why I terminated this.

I got their service working for a whole day.

So I've ordered a game service for 7 Days to Die. The server was up for the first day, (had a very quick installation) and everything was running smooth and well.

The second day my server seemed to be offline, so I went to my control panel, saw that my server status is "Unknown", couldnt stop/start/restart my server. Was wondering what was going on so I contacted the live chat. After waiting for an hour I got the respondse: "We got an outtage, the problem will be solved within 24 hours, you will be compensated.". So I was like alright, stuff can happen whatever.

The next day (after waiting 28 hours), I still got the Unknown server status. Contacted the chat again and this time Dennis told me (after waiting for over an hour again) that the problem still isn't solved and that it may take up to 7 days...

At this point I just decided to check the reviews and within no time found out that there are alot of people having this issue.

TLDR: ViLayer seems like a total scam, they deliver the service for a short time, you wake up getting the Status: Unknown error and you're done for. No support, no service and your money is gone.

I'm gonna try to get a refund from paypal, not expecting much but there's no way I'm willing to support this service.

My name is Aaron

My name is Aaron. I run a DayZ standalone server.

I'm always in constant contact with a great CSR named Dylan when it comes to Customer Support. My tickets are responded to as quickly as possible, the only improvement I wish to see with Vilayer is more transparency about what is happening when servers go down or when an update for a game I run my server on will be implemented.

Been with this service on and off for years, they seem capable and generally care about improving

Was down all weekend

Was down all weekend. No word from 2 high priority tickets. Nothing. Then late late Monday it comes up and ticket is closed with no word at all. There are FAR too many game hosts out there. You do not deserve their complete disregard to their customers and spotty service. Use a better service. It will not be hard to find.
