Written by the company
We are storytellers, curators & a community who understand the impact a great album can have on someone. And, we are firm believers that vinyl is the best medium for creating these experiences. We’re fascinated by the long (sometimes grueling) journey a record takes by the time it’s in your hands — from artist to studio to pressing plant, and beyond. Because of our dedication to the process and the people behind it.

Charge without permission?
Dropped my membership when they began charging shipping to Canada. The "new" VMP tried to renew my subscription without permission 6 times in March, using my old credit information. Fortunately, the credit card flagged it and no payment went through. Either, they made a huge mistake or ... sketchy practice
... either way. It isn’t a good look.
Its kind of a blast from the past…
Its kind of a blast from the past experience..the things we have long forgotten.no apps no stores.just straight to us.looks just fine.can feel less connected
Avoid, not trustworthy anymore and scamming its customers
Shame on this company, which used to be one of the best providers of high-quality vinyls. Orders worth hundreds of dollars remain unfulfilled, and the company simply cuts itself off from any communication, remaining just silent, ignoring and remaining. The class action lawsuit is warranted as the scamful practice hit customers who were loyal for so many years.
I made two preorders for vinyls
I made two preorders for vinyls. They haven’t even shipped it or refunded it I’ve emailed them details and they haven’t responded. They don’t even let me log in to their page anymore. I got ripped off hundred plus dollars.
Needing to use after pay is so inconvenient
I really dislike needing to use afterpay. I could not use the payment method I wanted and the immediate enrollment into a monthly payment system instead of allowing me to pay for a gift all at once was unnecessary and created more work for me to go and individually pay for each instalment after ordering.
They ripped me off to the tune of $146…
They ripped me off to the tune of $146 for a membership I never wanted. They’ve never sent a record for this account either so I’m just out the money. Credit card company was of no use. Avoid VMP at all costs.
Somehow these yahoos deliver less than zero
2 orders, zero deliveries. I’m not an economist, but something tells me that this company doesn’t get the concept of “money in exchange for goods”.
The worst part is that their customer service hasn’t responded once.
Non-Existant Customer Service
I received a 3 month membership as a gift only to find after redeeming it and placing my first order / selection that VinylME no longer honor international shipping on memberships.
I reached out to Customer Service to work this out and they responded promptly offering a refund or store credit. I replied with my choice and have had no action or response since (Over 2 months).
I've tried contacting via their website, direct email, and even Instagram (desperate attempt...). In over two months I have had no contact or response from VinylMe and still get regular emails reminding me of my Membership (that I CAN'T use!!)
Honestly a really poor experience from a service that by most accounts is great. Completely unexcusable given they appear to be using Zendesk and I've included ticket numbers etc... in each follow up.
$135 equals ONE record!
I was gifted a 3 month subscription, at the cost of $135, and I received one record. And in order to set up an account VMP does ask that you provide your credit card in case you would like to continue, which I get. But with no warning whatsoever after the gifted 3 months, they charged me another $135 for my own 3 month subscription. BS. Go to your local record store and support those business owners instead!
STOLE MY MONEY-No records received
Ordered 3 records in June 2024 with VMP promising production and shipping 3 months later. Fast forward to April 2025 and multiple “your order is delayed” emails later, Vinyl Me Please is no longer responding to emails from customers. I have sent multiple. Tried to get a refund through my bank but it is past their deadline for reporting it. THIS COMPANY WILL STEAL YOUR MONEY!!!
Overall it was a good experience minus…
Overall it was a good experience minus not knowing when the records would arrive or the basic timeline. Additionally, one of the records is defective and does not play properly. I will reach out to see if this can be reimbursed or replaced.
No news about my order for over a year! Nonexistent customer service.
I pre-ordered the TLC Fanmail album in February 2024. This reissue (the third one with VMP) was originally scheduled for July 2024, then postponed to the end of the year, and then pushed back again to March 2025… It's now mid-April and nothing has changed, with no information sent out to explain what's going on with this vinyl I paid for over a year ago! I've sent multiple messages and haven't received any reply in over a month. What's going on? I used to get quick responses, but now the company seems completely abandoned. Do not order from VMP – you may never actually receive your order...
This place practices fraudulent…
This place practices fraudulent business practices. Do NOT buy a short-term subscription as a gift. They force you to enter a credit card, saying you will not be charged if it is a gift, but if you don't go in and cancel, they charge you for three more months. $170! To top it off, customer support is non-existent. I filled out multiple forms and sent multiple emails and got NO response. The record selection is also terrible. Don't waste your money.
Lots of Issues
Limited selection, terrible order fulfillment, no chat option, expensive, not enough time to review selections
12pk “scratch & dent”
I order the 12pk “scratch & dent” (+$200!!) & I had high hopes for some winners… (VMP has wronged me before— why else would I have 3 copies of Nil Frahm’s “Spaces; every bonus record they sent me was the same). I was enticed, but unfortunately was met with usual regret upon delivery: I recognized 3 artists, wanted 1 record out of 12. Additionally I was bombarded with phishing emails after ordering & pointed at articles breaking down VMPs demise. Disappointed, if not hoodwinked. Contact me about a return ?
VMP Dings and Dents didn’t live up to expectations
I ordered a VMP Dings and Dents - 12 Pack and selected a genre that I enjoy and that is consistent with my previous purchases. The albums that I received were completely different than what I would normally listen to. Definitely not what I requested. Certainly not an experience I would recommend to anyone else.
It took a month and a half to finally…
It took a month and a half to finally receive in-stock records. Had to reach out 3 times over 3 weeks just to get an update. Even then the information was incorrect. Also, the "dents and dings" deal was a bit misleading. Most fell in this category, but one record was pretty crushed and some were not even sealed. One was just a cast-off from a box set. In whole, not a great experience
Very slow on turn around with delivery…
Very slow on turn around with delivery ordered and payment made on 19/02/25 didn’t deliver until 01/04/25 from US to UK
Buyer beware
Buyer beware! TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE!
VMP would get -5 stars if it was an option.
Received a 3 month subscription as a gift from my wife, as I decided to buy a system to start my vinyl journey.
Issues started as soon as I tried creating an account, 1/14/25. Then placed my first order. A few weeks pass and no delivery. Emailed to inquire and never received a response. My album was just delivered almost a month later. Picked my second album and received a notice that they're sending an album I didn't select. Emailed again and guess what? No reply almost 2 weeks later at this point.
Can it get worse? Yes, it can! I get my delivery and there's no album in my delivery, just a bag and note the co-founders "Matt & Tyler" saying the VMP community is nothing without is customers.
Don't waste your time and money on VMP!
