Casino games have ridiculous odds. I have played a game called phoenix rising elements. To trigger once free spins it took me 620 spins, on top of that when I did, I got the minimum amount of free spins (which is obvious) but the funniest part was after running free spins the winnings have not even covered 25% of the investment.. Not talking about any other wins you pull in between playing.. After every 20 spins you get 10% at best return ratio. So this tells me that this game is rigged badly, so there is impossible to make a winning nor even get a return on your bets, it’s an absolute SCAM. I’ve lost today 150£ by trying to win my lost money back and of course I lost again.. Had 221 spins (I counted and recorded the whole session), I’ve done with this website, never playing again, and whoever is reading my comment and want some proof to see how much the game is rigged and want to save their money, get in touch, I’ll send you the footage so you could see yourself how much this is rigged. Most of us have noticed the extreme changes to the gameplay ever since Rachel Reeves mentioned the 40% gambling tax increase. For example:
Prior to the tax increase, wins in the base game were more frequent and scatters were also better paying, within 24hrs of the tax increase it all changed.
Bonus are now pretty much non existent and on the extremely rare sighting of one (1 in 6/700 plays) the maximum win is the absolute bare minimum for that stake. Big bass & fishin frenzy games have nosedived into the gutters now too, During base game the fish squares are high valued but during free spin bonus when they are relevant they are always of the lowest value now.
The punters are not stupid so don't respond to us like we are, It's insulting to say the least.

400 down, 1 set free spins during play, won 12.50 total game play 42 minuits
2 weeks later 230 down, total game play 24 minutes
Just now 410 down, 1 set spins again, 2.50 win. Total game play 29 minuits.

Was always a fairly good and even game, now I'm done.

So the wheel animation that shows you "almost" winning? That can just... glitch. But they claim the secret server result is still fair. You just can't see it. And they won't show you the logs to prove it.

Never did I believe that in all of the years I have been with virgin bet I would leave a one star review. I had a very frustrating experience with Virgin Bet and want to share what happened so others are aware.

I contacted support because I didn’t want to use their AI‑based biometric verification system. The automated assistant gave generic information, so I asked to speak to a human agent. After providing all my account details, the agent told me I must complete biometric verification to withdraw my funds.

I explained that I would never have signed up if I’d known biometric ID would be required. I deposited money, played, and won without being asked for any ID at all. Only when I tried to withdraw did they suddenly demand a video selfie and ID upload.

I asked why this wasn’t required at sign‑up and whether there was an alternative method (post, email, bank verification, etc.). They said no — biometric only.

I then asked for escalation. The manager simply repeated that their terms allow them to request ID “at any time” and that they can withhold funds until I comply.

I eventually asked for my account to be closed and for my balance (about thirty-five quid) to be sent to me. Instead of helping, they closed the account immediately, which now means I can’t even access the verification system if I wanted to.

So I’m stuck:

They won’t release my money without biometric verification

They closed my account before I could complete anything

They refuse to offer any non‑biometric alternative

I can’t log in to do what they’re demanding even if I changed my mind and went along with biometric verification

As others have reviewed on here, quick to take a deposit, but not so quick to pay out...
