Scam. Check the other VitalChek Trustpilot page, as well as BBB.

I paid $83 for VitalChek to obtain the birth and death certificates of my grandparents from a local county government. After I paid, VitalChek informed me I needed to provide legal justification. I sent them all of my own certificates, as well as those of my parents, and my family tree to prove my lineage, as well as the reasons for the request. They informed me I needed a court order - which is simply not true. I called their number, but it sent me around in circles to nowhere. I emailed them, but got a canned response. Finally, I simply called the county government office, who informed me it was no problem. Just fill out a form and send it in, and they'd send me the certificates. Took all of five minutes compared to a month of hassle with VitalChek to obtain nothing and lose $83. Stay far away. They are an unnecessary third party who will take your money and personal information, and that's about it.

My spouse and I both work and we were…

My spouse and I both work and we were required to sign for the UPS delivery! My wife had to take off a day of work so that we could have the package delivered which was a big inconvenience. I feel we should be refunded for the expedited charge.

Quick turnaround…

It was easy to fill out the request for a copy of my Registry of Marriage Certificate. The turnaround time was quick. Applied April 7 received it April 10. I needed a quick turnaround time for me to apply for a Real ID for a trip I'm taking in May.
