The software works with Excel with the minimum of fuss! Tried many options of the years but wanted to continue with my Excel spreadsheets for business and personal stuff and it works!

I've used Vital Tax for several years, since HMRC imposed the needless, non-value adding MTD requirement. Vital Tax bridges from my rudimentary spreadsheet-based accounts as it should. I prepare my VAT return data as normal, and it takes no more than 5 mins max to populate the Vital Tax template and submit the return. I find the software easy to use. Every so often it seeks my permission to communicate with HMRC, and it has always had the current return due dates available. When MTD was introduced I spent a few hours looking at the available bridging software and Vital Tax was amongst the cheapest; I haven't needed to revisit that research because I reckon Vital Tax is pretty good value for money.

I'm not techical but filed my fist VAT online with this briding software. So a hugh thank you for all your help. Job well done.

I was looking for a new VAT piece of filing software after another company had withdrawn their and tried to get you to sign up to a £6000 per year package and I found these guys via a google search with their Excel embedded bridge.

Compatible & recognised by HMRC as a bridge the installation was easy and i had filled my first return with it in minutes. I was really impressed how much better it was than Avalara's tool which seemed to need authorisation every time I used it and you had to enter specific dates in order to actually find the return needing filing - this everything was there upon entering your password and clicking the button to fetch the data, no separate tab or spreadsheet to open, simplicity and perfection for me - can it really be the case I've found that piece of software that works how it really should - can't possibly be true can it? As HMRC used to say "tax shouldn't be taxing"

It is a subscription service at £1 per month but first filing is free and I didn't have to enter any details and subscribe to be able to file my first return. All I had to do was enter the usual Username, password and and email address with no other personal details in order to get the confirm account email back and i was ready to go. Other software out there charge £40 a year. For me this small monthly cost works as I am a relatively small company that files four VAT returns a year.

It's early days for me with this but so far I am impressed. Naturally if I find issues later I will update my experience, but I would wholeheartedly recommend this piece of tax pleasure. wish I had found them earlier.

Just an update a year on from my first subscription and everything good. Software is so simple to use, and it makes VAT returns easy to do. I definitely intend to continue using this software
