FIRE HAZARD

I was given one of their drones as a award from my company, the 3.5 channel camera helicopter, and controlling it was wishful thinking. However, the real issue was after less than five minutes of playing around with it, one of the springs holding the batteries in place in the controller began to heat up to the point of glowing bright orange and smoking. The rechargeable battery it was touching was fried because of it. Do not purchase from this company.

I got a Sky Flow Drone for Christmas…

I got a Sky Flow Drone for Christmas last year (2023). I got to fly it once and then I hit a tree branch and broke a couple of blades. Put the couple of the replacement blades on which are basically none existent in the package. Flew it again and it decided to go do it's on thing and had a little crash again, hardly any damage at all except for the same blades broke. I got online to find some replacement blades and no matter where I looked (even the Vivitar web site) and NOTHING!! Called customer service and they said they were on back order. I have called about 5 or 6 times now and they keep telling me the same thing. They will be at your address in several days. Several months and phone calls later and I'm still in the same spot. They've told me they would call me back in 24 to 48 hrs and that's been over a week and still no word. ALL I WANT TO DO IS FLY MY DRONE!!! I am not happy at all with the way they are handling it. As of now I will never buy anything from VIVITAR ever again and I will tell anyone and everyone I see to do the same. All I need is some replacement blades, that's it!! Ugh. By the way I've been dealing with this since July 26th 2024 and nothing.

Garbage producing company

20 years ago, I bought a digital camera from them that failed to work right out of the box, so I returned it. Today, I received an automatic soap dispenser made by them and it failed to work right out of the box. This company just produces trash.

Vivitar Sky hawk drone

Don't waste your money! Two brand new units, second one warrantied and neither of them would do as advertised. All modes did not work, would not connect to Wi-Fi, so no pictures or video capability. Follow me mode did not work, home landing did not work. Nothing worked. It did fly however impossible to control even in perfect weather. Advice for the company? Don't make garbage!

Vivitar Sakar Triple Blade Razors

are the worst razors I've ever used. I bought Two 6-pks of MID 4470323 Made in China Style PGV281 30712W10

Surprisingly they haven't cut me yet but they pull hard on the hairs and require multiple uncomfortable passes to get the missed hairs and get anywhere close to a clean shave.

VIVITAR DVR5K-BLK

When I used this "4k" camera, I placed it on a tripod and turned it on for the first time, I had high hopes since it said it was 4k 30 fps at the bottom of the touch screen, they also answered my question on best buy about if it does have a built-in microphone, and it did. So, I recorded and tested and I saw on the screen it did not look like 4k, I just thought it was the size of the screen but when i inserted the SD card in my computer it still looked like it wasn't 4k. I tried again in a different environment and it still wasnt 4k, it is like a 1080p camera instead, i went in the settings and found out there was an option to change the resolution to 8k, so i did that and got something that does look like its 4k. I also cleaned the lens and that did nothing. And who needs an internet connection from a camera? Its password when you first use it is 123456. (Please note that the camera did not come with an SD card since it states on the box it does not include a sd card, My username is not supposed to be a joke, but its what i will do with the camera, make videos with horrible editing. At least, what i would do if this camera wasn't horrible)

Bought a Vivitar drone

Bought a Vivitar drone. 1st flight battery fell out of it causing drone to fall 50ft. Broke a drive in one propeller. Called about warranty. was told to send to Sakar International. Sent in May. got back just now September without battery. Called to let them know and was told to be patient. Horrible customer experience!

This VIVITAR Camcorder is a peace of…

This VIVITAR Camcorder is a peace of junk. I'm talking about the VIVITAR camcorder 657 360-5519 this product is not worth the money and I think everyone who bought it should get their money back. I was cheated. When I touch the touch screen to move around it doesn't respond the way it should. I also don't see a volume control. I will never buy another vivitar product again. I also think it's vivitar doesn't want to give people their money back or the store doesn't want to give their money back I think everyone should boycott VIVITAR. Vivitar you cheated a lot of people out of their money by putting a camcorder out on the shelves letting them paint it's a good camera.

Where’s customer service???

Just a little get fit trac watch. Called technical support because my caller ID was not working. Instead of helping me they told me to return my watch for another one. Then I left a message at Sakar and she told me he would contact me 4 days later. Terrible customer service!!!!!

I sent Vivitar my vivitar skyview drone they sent me a Defective fpv duo the goggles are blurry you have to take goggles off to see where drone is at piece O Crap I talked to vivitar customer service they said they would replace it with a Vivitar Pheonix it's been 18 days and I am Still waiting for replacement drone I have been trying to email vivitar customer service and it returns my email I am going to contact Better Business Bureau next Caution if you want to buy a Vivitar Skyview they do NOT GO 1000 Ft. High they made them too heavy so 1 little crash and it's Wasted lose wifi then it's nothing but a piece of junk

WHATEVER YOU DO

WHATEVER YOU DO, DO NOT REGISTER FOR THEIR CLOUD SERVICES WITH DANALE. I have spent 3 years trying to cancel this and everytime I inform my bank or cancel the subscription with PayPal they seem to be able to reinstate it with PayPal or my credit card. I have been charged for 3 years after threw the webcam away because it was faulty. I am now reporting them for fraud and to the police. There 'support' form doesn't work and all of their emails are 'no-reply'. IT IS A SCAM. BE VERY CAREFUL. This is illegal.

Vivitar does not try to be the top of the line. They give affordable quality.

I started using Vivitar lenses in the 1980s. Their products were decent then as a good substitute for the more expensive camera lenses. I recently purchased two action cameras, DVR 786 and DVR 757. Both have very good picture quality and less expensive than a GoPro. I contacted there support once to learn how to use the date stamp and received good instructions and friendly service. One has to realize that Vivitar has mostly specialized in reducing the cost of items. So if the top brand is rated a 10 on a scale of 1 to 10 I would expect Vivitar products to be an 8 on that same scale. I have never been disappointed with that expectation. Unless I win the lottery, I would never hesitate to buy a Vivitar product versus a top-dollar product.

I have been trying to get a gear replacement for my vivitar skeyeview 360 camera drone,
It seems the only way is buying a new same drone and use for spare parts!

Misleading Customer Service Information, Failure to honour warrenty

I bought a pair of headphone from Ryman, and the headphone has become defective over 8 months, and I tried to contact the customer service as stated on the user manual: Sakar International. The original packaging also emphasize on UK customer support.

The UK phone number is no longer active, and the only way to contact them is via email. I packed up the headphone and wrote out the UK address, but they insisted the headphones to be returned to them to an Ireland address before they will dispatch the replacement headphone.

When I highlighted to them the user manual AND PACKAGING stated a UK customer service address in Coventry England, they just said the UK customer service is no longer active and they will take no further action to rectify the problem until the headphone is returned to Ireland address. They have said I can escalate the matter to their American office.

I felt misled and misold. The product is sold as supported in England, only to find out I do not get any support or access to warranty in England.
I will not buy any Vivitar products again.

VIVITAR DVR786HD Action Camcorder - Blue

Un-boxed the camera and then tried four times to film a loop of Whinlatter Forrest that I was touring on my mountain bike. This frankly nasty, cheap feeling item kept freezing every attempt after it went past two minutes. The only way to un-freeze it was to push the reset button which then erased the whole video
It's now thankfully where it belongs.......smashed to bits and in the bin with the rest of the garbage!

ONLY BUY THIS ITEM IF YOU WISH TO HAVE A SIMILAR EXPERIENCE. I WISH I'D READ THE CUSTOMER REVIEWS AT CURRY'S BEFORE I'D BOUGHT MINE AS THEY ARE MOSTLY THE SAME!
