Terrible

1. They extended my contract for 2 years without asking and even notifying me, so they pretend me to pay for the next two years, even though I don’t have even the Vodafone phone number.

2. I tried to connect home internet. When I finally got the cable I had to call them and to spend around 3 hours on the phone with dozens of people so in the end they would tell me that their system messed up with my data , that my client number belongs to another person, and I had to create the new internet contract . By the way, I still have no idea whether this person got my bank details and other private information !

If you care or need a reliable internet, you should avoid Vodafone at all costs, this internet is the worst i had so far in my whole life.

Vodafone is the worst

Vodafone is the worst

I had a fiber line. And from day one there were connectivity and speed issues. The worst part is you cannot contact the customer support as you are forever on hold or being transferred endlessly to the correct department (how many departments do you need?) The customer support is also clueless.

The final straw for me was being without internet for one month. I spent hours on the phone trying to get the issue resolved. I could not get through to customer support and was always on hold. When I did get through I was told "the issue was resolved, wait 24 hours", "I will put you through to the right department.", "can you hold please" (waits on the line for 45min), blah blah blah. No one was able to help.

Eventually I cancelled and then suddenly technicians were calling to come to help and customer service was suddenly there and suddenly knew how to resolve the issue.

Alas, this was too late. For half the price, 10 x the connectivity, 100 x less issues and for much less of your own time, effort, and stress. You can get an adsl line that performs better from 1&1. Best part. If something is wrong its promptly resolved and customer support will actually answer the phone.

Please people save yourself the hassle and DO NOT GET VODAFONE, you will regret the decision!

Also I was just billed another 150 euro today even though I have terminated the contract 3 months ago.

We're experiencing continuous internet…

We're experiencing continuous internet outages, on a daily basis. Vodafone has 0 customer care, leads you to interact with the most archaic chatbot there is, Tobi, and if you have more time to waste you can speak with a real person that instead of trying to solve the issue has the audacity to try and push another product/contract. After all the vicious circle of not having internet again and again, can definitely say "lesson taught". Never again Vodafone! I'm now ready to pay more with another company just to have home internet again.

The worst provider in Europe

The worst provider in Europe. Very expensive, and also very bad. Its horrible, also they love to scam people by going from door to door and trying to sell a scam to people. Absolutely horrific.

Deceptive, Bad Support, Bad Contracts

Trying to deceive customers with so-called "offers" that are anything but. They use cheap mathematical tricks to confuse people. If you do the math, you realize they’re trying to take advantage of you. Existing customers are neglected, while new customers are lured into contracts.

It’s incredibly disappointing, to say the least. I’d certainly describe their practices as deceptive.

Since 2 weeks without Internet connection

Since 2 weeks Vodafone left me and my neighbours (a total of 3 entire buildings) without Internet connection because of some "Störung" on the line. So far, after several calls to the Vodafone customer service , we have got no information or transparency on the progress to solve the issue neither a potential resolution date. We find ourselves without any option to escalate the problem with Vodafone.
This is not how a company delivering services should treat paying customers.

The company simply wants to have you as customer for your lifetime and that is awful.
The people there only know offering contracts even though one is calling to cancel to terminate one, it is as if their life depends on it.
Their customer service is not nice, and their prices are high.
Only good thing is their coverage (good internet)

Horrible customer service, no technology

Functions with 100-year old technology, backed up by the worst customer-service design existent.

They ask for your contract number to help you, even when you have your ID in hands.

You can only install the app if you have a German appstore, typically accessible with a German phone. I asked the person at the store what I could do about it and they said "just buy a new German phone".

Customer service queries are typically met with "this should take a few days"; and "try next week".

Want to cancel a contract? Well, good luck writing an actual letter and sending it via post!

They are such a bullshit company

They are such a bullshit company. If you have problem with the internet, just forget about it that you will ever be connected with the right person who can solve the issue.
Its been 3 hours trying to get connected but nobody answers the phone. They are absolutely understaffed. Horrible service.

How Vodafone scammed me

I got a call after taking vodafone internet and offered me for Kabel TV for free. I said no because I do not speak German, why do I need TV then? But he was saying its always free. In the end, I asked a few times very clearly how much I have to pay, because I knew there might be some hidden costs. He clearly said there is not extra cost. Then I took it, and till now the packet is still unpacked.
After 1.5 yrs later, I came to know that they were cutting 25€/ month. Then I asked them to investigate,
and look for the recording of the call but they simply said they have nothing to do.

Secondly this week, I went to the vodafone customer care to get a new SIM card because my phone was stolen. They asked for the Kennwort. Who remembers the Kennwort? They said its in the contract. But I made contact with Sparhandy. Now they are telling me to write an email to get a new SIM which will take about a week. What a joke in this 21st century. I promise, I will never ever use vodafone, and will always discourage people from using it.

New Customers Beware: Misleading Information and No Way Out

I’m new to Germany, so I wasn’t aware of certain sales tactics. In the Vodafone office, they assured me that fiber optic internet was available at my address and recommended I sign the contract in person. After signing, I discovered that fiber optic service wouldn’t actually be available in my building for another 8 months. When I tried to cancel my contract due to this misleading information, they refused, stating that because I signed in person, I couldn’t cancel. They offered no alternative solution, leaving me to pay high daily fees for internet. Be cautious with Vodafone’s sales team in Germany—they’ll say anything to convince you to sign up.

Vodafone pushes for new contract

On 4 November 2024, I contacted Vodafone via the hotline 0800 1721212 because my WiFi at home had been constantly failing or only working partially for some time. The first employee explained to me that it was probably due to the Vodafone router, which is already 4 years old. It could be replaced due to its age, but I would be forwarded to the technical department. After being forwarded, I spoke to a second person who very helpfully offered me a new router. I would only have to click on an acceptance box in an email that I would soon receive for the replacement to take place. It was not mentioned that I would receive a completely new contract that would bind me to the provider for another 24 months. Only in the attached PDF, a contract summary, was the word "New" in brackets under various points. But still no clear information that the contract summary would be a completely new contract and not summarizing my current contract.
I contacted Vodafone again via the hotline. The third employee was able to confirm to me that it was good not to have confirmed the contract adjustment, because the new router that was offered and promised to me was not even included in the contract adjustment, but new contract conditions that I had not asked for or even wanted. I asked again for a router to be replaced, as it was a loan device from Vodafone for which I was paying money. The third employee then explained to me that an exchange would only take place if I accepted the new contract because my current contract was too old. I explained once again that the faulty router, which belongs to Vodafone, should only be replaced as it was not working. I don't want a new contract, just a replacement of the device that Vodafone provided me with. The employee then repeatedly told me that an exchange was only possible if I agreed to a new contract or I would have to cancel. In a third phone call, to a fourth person at Vodafone, I explained my request once again. This time I was confirmed that I would receive a replacement device promptly and return my current device without having to get a new contract or agree to anything.

It was more than clear that repeated attempts were made under pressure to secure a new contract with a new minimum term. All statements from Vodafone urged a new contract. It was also repeated several times that this was the only option for an exchange of the router and that there was no alternative.

Terrible wifi, RUDE customer service, NO CONTACTS

I started a wifi contract 2 months ago. The internet has always been unstable but overall acceptable. Three days ago it stopped working completely. I sent a notice through the app and it is still "in arbeit". In the meantime, I missed important deadlines at work since I had to work from home. Today I tried to contact the customer service by phone (which was hard for a non-german speaker, since the call starts with a german voicemail asking stuff) and I have been treated very rudely by two different operators that refused to speak english and therefore to help me. I understand that we are in Germany, but from an internationally operating company like Vodafone, I expect a certain willingness to assist, especially when it concerns such a central service. They literally hung up the phone when I asked if we could speak english. It is unacceptable that no solution has been offered for a paid service, even though this clearly falls within their area of responsibility.

“Worst speed and unreliable network even at 5G with expensive 5G mobile traffic.”

1. Despite the high cost of 5G data, the network is slow and unreliable, even on 5G.

2. They’re also charging for calls within the EU, leading to additional bills of around €150 on top of data expenses.

3. This telecom provider should definitely be investigated.

Super shady company, total scam

Super shady company. They’ll do everything they can to scam you for more of your money. They straight up refused to acknowledge multiple attempts to cancel and close my pay-as-you-go mobile CallYa account. Then they confirmed in writing that my account was in the positive and finally refunded me my positive account balance, only to then send me to collections claiming I owed them money. Terrible company. Avoid at all costs.
