Excellent program offerings

Excellent program offerings, whether for our various Athletic teams, and even for use in Phys Ed classes. Programs to match experience levels. Great customer service willing to adjust programs for what coaches want specifically. Good tracking tools to monitor progress and engagement.

We have been using the Volt app and we highly recommend it.

We have been using the Volt app and programs for our district for multiple years. We use it for our students in Weights classes as well as our athletes. I appreciate the ease of use for our students. I also appreciate the program creation for our multiple sports within our district. The ease of use, as well as the functionality of the app, allow our students and athlete a specific program to follow while also allowing differentiation for the multiple abilities of our district students and athletes.

Volt dedication to you and your program is unbelievable.

What makes Volt Athletics such a great tool is how it provides a well-structured weightlifting and conditioning program that is tailored to your team’s needs. The trainer setup makes it easy to follow a quality strength and conditioning program without having to create everything from scratch. For programs that do not have a dedicated strength and conditioning coach, Volt Athletics is a valuable resource that saves a tremendous amount of time while still providing athletes with a professional training plan.

Volt routines do little for strength…

Volt routines do little for strength gains and the math involved requires a calculator. May times, lazy students will enter "very hard" when asked how that rep series went just to gain a volt response of less weight for the next lift, etc.

There is a great lack of continuity and waaaay too many departures from actual weight lifting for students to hone in on proper development and mastering proper form.

Many students have chosen the community gym when they hear that our school is using the Volt system because they can't build strength.

Last fall we switched to a more steady (non volt) routine after the summer session had ended. In less than three weeks students increased their strength gains significantly compared to a whole summer of Volt!

Hi Chuck,

Thank you for taking the time to share such a detailed account of your experience. We're sorry to hear that Volt didn't deliver the strength results you were hoping for with your students, and we take feedback like yours seriously.

The challenges you describe - the effort of managing autoregulation inputs, the need for continuity, and helping students stay focused on proper form and steady progression - are real, and your perspective helps us keep improving. Every program and every group of athletes is different, and we recognize that what works well in one setting may not be the right fit in another.

At the same time, we're proud of the long-standing record Volt has built across high school and college athletics, where thousands of coaches and athletes have used our training to make measurable strength and performance gains over many years. That track record is something we work hard to earn every day, and it's why feedback like yours matters to us - it pushes us to serve every program better.

If you'd ever be open to it, we'd welcome the chance to talk through what happened and see whether there's a way to make Volt work for your students. Please feel free to reach out to our team directly. We genuinely wish you and your athletes continued success, whatever path you choose.

Best money you can spend

The platform is very user friendly and it makes it really easy for our guys to follow the workouts. It keeps track of all their workouts so it shows the progress that they are making. It helps to keep every accountable for what they are supposed to be doing. I has helped to take all the guesswork out of our workouts.

It’s not a bad base

It’s not a bad base . However it is fairly difficult and annoying to operate. The new feature for sliding lifts is great . I think they need a more vast library of exercises, or have the ability to have coaches make the videos to show exercises not in y’all’s library.

Hi Ben,

Thanks so much for being a Volt customer — we truly appreciate your feedback. I'm sorry to hear you're running into issues with the platform.

Your school’s Volt Success contact, Tom, will be reaching out today to walk you through a few key features and help get things running smoothly.

Volt offers over 1,800 movements and 40+ base programs, but we understand every coach has their go-to exercises. That’s why we introduced Custom Movements in 2023. You can now create and upload your own movements — even using YouTube links — right from your current plan. Tom is looking forward to showing you exactly how it works. But in the meantime feel free to review our help article about custom movements here: https://help.voltathletics.com/how-do-i-create-a-custom-movement

Thanks again for being part of the Volt community. We’re here to support you every step of the way.

As a coach

As a coach, Volt is great to keep my athletes strong and cross trained during the season and in the off season. I love that I can feel confident they are always working the right muscle groups, doing the workout correctly and that I can see the progress each athlete is making.

Great for schools

Great program for school settings, easy for students to use and for coaches to see progress. Really miss all the "extra" workouts that used to be on the program.
