Absolutely horrendous. First time to have a Volvo car and worst decision we ever made. Has gave so much trouble. Currently the airbag module has malfunctioned - apparently a common fault with volvos. I reached out to see would they help towards the cost of the part which is extortionate and got nowhere. We have never had an airbag module problem in any previous makes or models - VW, Ford, Audi. I told them we have an unwell child who has to attend alot of medical and therapy appointments and we need the car but the cost of airbag module part and installation was financially crippling - they don't care. They waste your time jumping through hoops with a goodwill gesture process knowing full well they will refuse it. Nothing like your reliable VW and Audi. Avoid Volvo at all costs
Shocking communication and still chasing months later for a replacement part. My vehicle is due to be out of warranty and they still don’t have the replacement or any update after months of chasing! When we contact it seems the staff don’t know what they’re doing and they keep telling us they don’t have any staff! We also paid for a service and no one bothered to call to let us know the car was ready! I’ll never buy from Volvo again!
Care By Volvo is appalling on every level. Left Volvo for VW a few years ago due to poor Volvo customer service. Tried going back and what a mistake. Cancelled my vehicle order.
I purchased a brand new car in march.
In first 400 miles it broke down twice ( Volvo admits it’s a KNOWN FAULT) where you drive on a Motorway (at no more than 70 and without warning it goes down to 5 miles an hour – the probability of being wiped out by the car behind is worrying)
Then a series of electrical faults.
Then Radio (electrical) goes to whisper where you can’t turn up down or off .
Now car makes ear splitting loud noise and as a pensioner I have to walk everywhere as I am scared to get into the vehicle. ( I have been driving for 50 years and never been scared of ANY vehicle !
Long conversations with “executive customer care” at Volvo HQ who say there is nothing they can do?
in 6 months less than 2000 miles (covid) but you buy a VOLVO for SAFETY , RELIABILITY = this isn't - you do not buy it as a "bird puller" fashion statement or to show off that you can afford one - it is about SAFETY
this car is a DEATH TRAP & Volvo KNOWINGLY sold it.
It is not the dealers fault - they don't build them - it is VOLVO.
