Used to be excellent when it was Voodoo SMS. Now its changed to different company with different features and it is total trash.

Thievery! For a year this business has erroneously taken funds from our non profit, after our contract was cancelled. When confronted they gave a glib apology and then continued to take the funds. Shameful conduct. Avoid.

Don't forget the name.
I did. And it opened my eyes to how good this company is.
I first used Voodoo SMS about 15 months ago. That was for a very specific and limited campaign. Everything went well and, frankly, I thought no more about it.
Recently however I've become involved in a community issue and have taken on some responsibility for communications. Having set up an email list and sent out a successful missive that way, it occurred to me that I had a personal contacts list (the phone book in my mobile) on which there were many people who I knew would be interested in this project. I soon found however that trying to text 100+ of my *personal* contacts (i.e. not just spamming wildly) was a pain because my mobile provider didn't want me sending messages to multiple recipients. I remembered using a bulk sms app in the past, but I couldn't remember the name of it, or find it in my bookmarks!
So I started searching for a new one. After an hour or so of looking at and rejecting various alternatives, Voodoo finally appeared in my search results - and I recognised it. Moments later I was logged in to my old account, and delighted to see that A) Voodoo's charges were still little more than half of what other companies were asking and B) even after all this time, I still had valid credits on my Voodoo account!
Pretty soon I was up and running again with a new campaign list, remembering how easy Voodoo's interface is to use.
One hint - if you're having trouble importing a .vcf file for your contacts, import it to your email client instead, then export it from there as a .csv file, which is much easier to edit in a spreadsheet to prepare a .csv file for import to Voodoo, with just the info you need in it.
That one issue aside - which is hardly their fault, I've found Voodoo a perfect fit for my needs, and I'll be making much more use of it as this campaign goes ahead.

I have been receiving texts from two traders using voodoo sms and I am NOT impressed. The texts are harassing. You receive the text from the trader with the adjunct that you can opt out by texting EXIT to 884400. So, you click the number to opt out but you are only given the option to call it or cancel! Hence you can never stop annoying texts trying to sell you something you don’t want. It all looks very suspicious and like fraud. I phoned both traders to ask them to stop it. One has, the other didn’t seem to get what I was talking about. I will not be buying from any trader who uses this ‘service’. I wasn’t even asked if I wanted my phone number included in these texts, if I were the answer would have been no. If I could give zero stars I would. I have tried texting the number by starting a new message and it always comes up undelivered.

We all know the impact of bulk SMS marketing. It is by far the best way to approach your target audience. I was dealing with a bulk messaging company earlier but I started having problems with them regarding their rates as well as timings. I was being charged A LOT more than I was told. Found Voodoo SMS as I was browsing. Its been a year I have been doing business with them and as their name suggests, they are magical! Due to their advice and reasonable (not ascending every other day) charges I am having a great time with them. I have seen constant on-site improvement and hope to see more.
