Excellent, infomative and a must do for everyone
I had my initial meeting this morning with Chris Bucknall. I needed a very focussed discussion about the plans I was putting into effect for my early retirement and that is precisely what I received. The advice was thorough and helped me feel more confident in my decision making and the tax implications.

Vouched for seems like a solid scheme. But
Vouched for seems like a solid scheme to locate and identify a suitable IFA. Seems limited in that they offered only one option.
That option was just not particular polite and seemed to want to get his Friday over with as soon as possible.
This makes things cleaners for me.

VouchedFor appears to be set up for corporates to invite reviews from their Clients. When entering the site it seems difficult (impossible?) for an individual to leave a review without being invited. This undoubtedly leads to a very positive skew to feedback.

Every adviser profile on our site has a clear 'Leave review' button above their client feedback (example - https://www.vouchedfor.co.uk/financial-advisor-ifa/bank/02117-russell-waller). And where we do work with advice firms to invite client feedback centrally, most of them invite all their clients. Any that don't invite all clients systematically appear lower in our search rankings and generate weaker regulatory reports.
This said, we will speak to our product team to explore ways to make the leave review button even clearer.
A couple of key things to consider when comparing us to more mass market review platforms.
Firstly, when people review something like a hotel or restaurant, they have typically had a brief, emotive experience, they loved or hated it and that comes out in the spread of star ratings. However, when someone reviews a financial adviser, typically they have a long-standing relationship with that adviser and typically their feedback is positive.
Secondly, many of the negative reviews you read on mass market reviews sites are left by competitors. Particularly where a company is a large, dominant player in a given market. We have various safeguards in place to ensure that only genuine clients can leave feedback.
If you have had an experience with an adviser on our site we would urge you to leave feedback for them. That is the best way to help others considering working with them.
