Helpful and professional

Wooley and Wallis were marketing a bungalow that was of interest to us. From the point of submitting our offer, through to completion of our purchase, their staff were responsive and helpful in dealing with a number of potential barriers to our purchase, in particular Natalie Jones whose advice and timely responses helped us steer our purchase through to its conclusion.

Do not trust this company for your RICS…

Do not trust this company for your RICS L3 pre-purchase survey for a high value property.

Recently entrusted W&W with our pre-purchase survey for a £1.6m listed property in Somerset & it has turned out to be truly awful.

The simplest of major issues were missed such as severely rotten windows.
We were advised & retrospectively reassured on email, that there were only minor age related issues with the windows & so we did not need to pursue further inspection.
They came out to look at the issues, they have admitted blame & it has now turned out to be over £24k of work (so far).
Concerning if the surveyor missed something as simple as ground floor windows we are now having to pay for a new survey & they have not agreed to pay close to a satisfactory amount of the costs & taken weeks to respond, so we are now having to take legal action against W&W for the compensation! Turned into a nightmare!

I was so hoping it wouldn’t come to this, but will keep you updated on the progress!

Disgraceful Service - Left Us Facing Homelessness

I am beyond appalled by the treatment we received from Woolley & Wallis. We were in the process of securing a property through their lettings department, having been assured by one of their agents that we would be kept updated on any competing interest. We ceased all other enquiries based on their word and even began negotiating furniture arrangements for the property, believing we were the primary candidates.

Just days before we were due to vacate our current residence, we were informed that the letting had been pulled from us. Communication throughout the process was shocking - questions went unanswered, responses had to be chased repeatedly, and we were left in the dark about vital information.

What's worse, the agent's colleague assured us that if we expressed interest, we'd be updated on interest from other parties. This did not happen, and we were blindsided. Now, just days away from moving out, we are left with nowhere to go.

This has caused my family and me extreme stress, panic, and anguish. The complete lack of professionalism and empathy from their team has been utterly disgraceful. No one should have to endure this level of incompetence when dealing with something as critical as housing.

Avoid this agency at all costs. Their inability to manage basic communication or honour commitments has left us in an unimaginable position. They have failed us entirely, and I would not trust them to handle any aspect of a letting process.

Woolley and Wallis, you should be ashamed of yourselves.

I recently bought a property through…

I recently bought a property through Rupert at the W-W Salisbury office and have to say that despite there being lots of obstacles and delays in the conveyancing process Rupert kept in regular contact with me and both solicitors and kept the whole process on track. Thank you so much for all your efforts and patience. I'm now very happy in my new home.

Unhelpful with no communication

Probably the most unhelpful estate agent we have ever attempted to deal with as buyers (£2 million budget). Telephone calls not returned, e mails unanswered and no knowledge about the houses they are selling. Why anyone would give them their house to sell is beyond me? I'm amazed that the Ringwood office sells any houses..

A PLEASENT EXPERIENCE

I decided to downsize so, a big thank you to Romsey W&W who handled the selling and Salisbury W&W the purchase, both transaction went through without a hitch. Richard of the Salisbury branch was especially helpful in answering all my emials however trivial.
Would I use again....yes without doubt.

Personal service - understood client 100%

Personal service, good open communication, and ability to deal quickly and responsively in a different marketplace, where everyone needs to be more realistic about price. Achieved a good sale and completed within two months, using an excellent solicitor also recommended by this agent.

Woolley and Wallis mispresented a lot in their catalogue

Woolley and Wallis presented a lot in the auction catalogue as follows: ""Thebes a modern Daum pate de verre glass vase, cast with two swan head handles, graduated blue glass, with eyes highlighted in gilt, in original presentation box, etched Daum France to base, 30cm. high". The pictures shown showed an apparently perfect vase. I bought it and when it arrived, it appeared to have a nasty chip off one foot of 1 cm of which no mentioning was made. Upon my complaint that other auction houses I know would have made mention of that chip and would even have shown a photo of it, the only reply was that the chip was mentioned in a status report that I oght to have requested. Nothing in the description or the photos contained any clue that would give a reason to ask a status report in this case. I certainly would have asked for a status report had the chip been mentioned in the description. I feel to have been been misled. Woolley and Wallis used a trick of the trade that an auction house of standing would not have pulled on customers. My complaint was met with simple reference to the status report which did mention the chip. The ethics standard at Woolly and Wallis in my opinion is below par and I warn future buyers not to believe what is said in their catalogue. Always ask for a status report or rather not do business with this firm.

Fantastic team to work with and…

Fantastic team to work with and provided a great experience living in a home in Salisbury! We recently moved from a house let by Woolley and Wallis that was home for our family of 6 for the last two years. It was the perfect place for our family and having a good property manager made all of the difference.
Their team was always responsive and professional and made sure any issues in the house were resolved quickly. We only have good things to say and would recommend letting through them to any friend. We are from the States and they made it a smooth process for moving in and moving out! Communication and expectations were always clear and they made sure our deposit was returned. Thank you to the Woolley and Wallis team!

Professional, reliable, helpful

I have recently completed on the sale of my property. It took a long time with various complications. Through this, at times, fraught process, Toby and Simon have been extremely helpful and always professional and I was very grateful for their support. They have been working very hard throughout the pandemic, and I would not hesitate to use them again and thoroughly recommend.

Woolley and Wallis Estate Letting…

Woolley and Wallis Estate Letting Agents Salisbury:
Where do I start... We were renting whilst looking to buy, we unfortunately had dealing with Woolley and Wallis whose lettings "Manager" would not accept that we did not use their cleaning company (our mistake). As a result, they kept saying the property wasn't clean enough. After multiple return visits, we said enough is enough, "the property cannot get any cleaner". We told WW but they sent in their own cleaners and charged us over £100 for the privilege. The invoice had an embarrassing lack of detail, with words like "gave this a polish"... basically looking for things to put on an invoice to justify any charge, the invoice got reduced but basically it was a con. Things that WW said needed further cleaning were not mentioned.

We were going to refer a serious matter to the police, i.e. Woolley and Wallis lettings manager lied about "decorating costs" (that were done)... more than couple of hundred pounds. Just to let you (the lettings manager at WW) know and for the record .. obtaining money by deception is a crime!!

We started a dispute but after calculating the personal cost of perusing it, it wasn't worth the aggravation.

We have been renting various properties and ALWAYS got our full deposit back but not from WW... be warned do not rent from them!! Basically WW knew this property had a bad history, which the initial condition report brushed over (eg. a photo of just the window and not any part of the room which would have shown the existing condition). WW were determined to make us pay (as confirmed with our neighbours)!

My recommendation, don't rent from them but if you have no other option get your own condition report done when dealing with them, it will save you a lot of hassle and money.
