Got a Destroyer and a Drive train quad collie 28K humbuckers delivered today. Communication with company has been brilliant and really helpful.
I accidently ordered a bridge pickup that should have been a neck one. They are happy for a return and purchase correct pickup. The Drive train is supposed to be u iversal fit but it's not. Only fits in bridge on my LTD. Instead of return I added wire and put bridge in neck position. It's sounds awesome, these are both a really solid pickup ups. Look great, sound better than the EMG designed LH 150 humbuckers out of LTD 256.

Idiotic customer "service "

I didn't get as far as placing an order. Went to their Facebook page on a recommendation to find them ranting about Trump. Pointed out that they should not be using their selling page to push their political bias and suggested they took it to X where it belongs. They blocked me, guess they don't want my custom. Customer service? Not really.

This relates to a Facebook post by the reviewer not any sort of Customer Service interaction. We had posted information that due to new threats from Trump in increasing tariffs that our US customers would be faced with paying increased import duties and tariffs. At no point was there, on our side, any ranting about Trump. The reviewer, who is not and never has been a customer of ours and has had no other contact with us, decided to incorrectly tell me that I was the one wrongly imposing extra costs onto our US customers, causing price increases unfairly on US customers and that I had ( and typed in caps as the reviewer did ) had an ORANGE MAN BAD attitude, etc etc etc. Our Facebook pages are not political so, rather than keep having such stuff in the thread from a non customer, they were blocked and their irrelevant comments deleted. Read the other Trust Pilot reviews and you will find that our genuine customers, who actually interact with us, find our customer service great.

Terrible customer service

Terrible customer service, will not be a returning customer. Pickups sound awful, worse than Squier standard Tele pickups.

I’ve no record of you contacting us at all and we’ve received no complaints from anyone about the pickup. Your comment about terrible customer service is from someone who didn’t do anything to find out what our customer service was like . If you had a genuine problem you would have, as would any disgruntled customer, contacted us to express your concerns. None of this happened so I can only guess at your motives. Hey ho.

Personal touch best in the biz

Josi makes a high quality, yet budget friendly products for any guitar project, or upgrade, Warmans customer service is above and beyond and the personal touch he adds to the whole experience is by far the best in this business. His shipping and return policies are clear and concise, and even though my idiot president has tarrifed the world unjustly Warman pickups clearly states that you are responsible for tarriffs and shipping. Would definitely recommend these products and. Will definitely buy again.

Have two sets of the P bass stealth pickups and they sound fantastic, great bright clear tone, very articulate but easily toned down when you need to. Turned the two cheapest bass guitars I have, and made them sound better than ones that cost ten times as much. For the price, wow, very lucky to have found out about them. Currently mulling over which humbucker pickup to upgrade my squier hard tail strat with from their range.

What can I say, Josi Warman nails both sides of running his business. On one hand there is his top notch pickups, the bass Jazzbar is a killer, and then there's his first rate communication.

Need advice ? Josi will generously allow you to benefit from his experience. Need tech ? He'll help you with that. Ordering is easy, shipping is a doddle.

Warman Guitars are 5 stars, no doubts about that rating.

They do not tell U.S. customers about extra tariff charges, and they have already doubled shipping costs since May

I started ordering Warman pickups for my builds this past spring, after seeing recommendations from luthier channel and YouTube, and I do think they are lovely little pickups. However, I just had a very disappointing experience. I live in the U.S., and as you know, the tariff madness is in full effect. I just ordered my most recent set of pickups from Warman and saw the shipping had doubled. Naturally, I assumed that the tariffs had kicked in and now Warman was upping the shipping cost to cover the tariffs. But, alas, no...
The next day I received a separate email, stating that my order had shipped, and, by the way, you may have to pay additional tariffs in order to get your pickup from the delivery service". So I reached out to ask what that was about as I was already paying twice as much in shipping and the order page said nothing about possible extra tariff costs. In response I got a rather nasty email back saying that tariffs were common knowledge, and refusing to cancel my order because the parcel had already been taken by the courier. Basically a big "screw you" response. So, unfortunately, that will be the end of my business with Warman.

Thanks for taking the time to leave us a poor review. Now to set the record straight, by injecting some actualities, here is the "nasty" response we gave word for word.

"Dear Jon

The tariffs are imposed by your Government and are not something we are charging you. The imposition of tariffs has been widely publicised on the news and online media for many many months, by both in the US and worldwide

We state on the order - on the copy you sent back to us that “Shipping Flat rate by Courier - tariffs may apply” We also state on our Shipping and delivery page "USA, Australia, Canada delivery and shipping information

"USA shipments are currently ( September 2025 ) being sent by courier. The courier will collect the US imposed tariff from you prior to the item leaving the country.”

We also published specific notice about the upcoming charges imposed by the US government here

Which also states "You are responsible for any import charges, taxes or duties payable on importing the goods into your country. It is also your responsibility to ensure that you are allowed to import guitar parts into your country. We cannot be held responsible for any Customs seizures, charges or delays. Please note if goods are eventually returned to us due to failure to pay charges applicable in the US or refusal of delivery then no refunds will be given.”

As you will note on numerous sections of the site and the order confirmation sent to you tariff charges are quite openly pointed out. Please check the page references

Kind Regards
Jos Warman"

To expand on this. We now have to use couriers as Royal Mail, who we previously used, would not ship to the US ( it has recently changed its stance ) and couriers cost more than Royal mail did, hence the upcharge on shipping. We have done our level best to inform people, unlike the US Government, on who is responsible for paying the US tariffs and we openly state everywhere we can - your order confirmation, our shipping info, our social media posts, our newsletters - the truth on US imposed tariffs and why is liable to pay them . At no point do we even hint that we are covering your government imposed tariff.

Your parcel had already been handed over to the Courier and we have no physical way of retrieving it - We aren't Dick Turpin and can't hold up the stage coach.

Hardly a screw you response, just ponting out facts the US want to hide about who is truly responsible for paying the US tax on purchases from overseas.

Twin Loco Hot Rail pickup.

Twin Loco Hot Rail pickup.
I've installed it into the bridge slot on my old Squier Strat. I wanted an easy install as it's my first mod. Great installation guide on the Warman website. I'm an EMG 81 fan but wanted a passive hot rail type. I'm really pleased with the sound from this. Beefy. Fuzzy. Angry. Edgy, and Dirty like my old faithful. Also lovely on the cleans. Cleaner than an '81. Just what I wanted. Quality piece of kit. Small but mighty! Excellent service, packaging and swift delivery. Thanks

Warman Musicman style humbucker.

I bought a warman musicman style humbucker bass pickup, and a dpdt on on on mini toggle switch from warman. The pickup has been installed into the bridge pickup position on my now fretless Yamaha TRBX304. The mini toggle switch I was able to wire up to provide series, single coil and parallel configurations, with the help of a diagram on the warman website. The results have been phenomenal. At this time I am finding having the humbucker switched to parallel, using only that pickup, the five way tone selector toggle switch on the TRBX in its neutral position, and the bass and treble on the actives boosted all the way, gives a real Stingray style sound. For the cost of this bass pickup, you really can't go wrong. It's bright yet has plenty of low end. Would still be a good buy at double the price or more.

Fantastic pickups and company

Fantastic pickups, almost unreal price and world class customer service.
I build electric guitars and have now moved exclusively to Warman pickups for all my customer builds and have 2 sets in my own live and studio guitars,
great build quality, low price (Last pair only just over £30 including postage for a PAIR of Humbuckers that would cost twice that for a single humbucker if there was a different logo on it.
Only ever had 1 single issue and a replacement was in the post the following day FOC, after lots of tech. help from the owner himself.
Can't rate higher thsn 5 stars or I would!

Long time buyer. Here's MY truth

I have bought pickup sets and individually for at least 11 of my guitars and bases. Warman is the ONLY replacement pickup I choose for my upgrades on Squier, Epiphone, and China based kits.
I started with them because of the cost, I STAYED with them because of the quality and consistency I have gotten. The sets have always been well matched. The tones are just great. I won't compare them to "boutique" $300 sets, but apples aren't bananas either.
If you are a musician on a budget, or a hobby luthier, these are the pickups you should try. I recommend them to everyone I can.
Every pickup I have received has been just perfect. The solder beads are clean and precise, the windings are tidy. And they always come within +/- .45 ohms of their rated resistance. They are shiney and unblemished and packed and shipped safely and effectively.
Customer service has been just terrific in my opinion. I get replies within 36 hours from "across the pond." They are attentive, and work well finding answers to my questions, and the one time I got a dud, they had a replacement shipped by air. I was provided a tracking number within 24 hours and they didn't even ask for the defective pickup back!
The only slightly negative comment I have is that the Warman logo on the units are decals that come off when polishing - I'd love to see them etched, or printed- because I am proud of the choice, and want to have people see the brand when they see my builds!
I suggest you try them- the cost assures you have little to lose. The sound and quality assures you will have plenty of "gain" 😉

Great products and experience for this repeat customer.

I am currently using 3 sets of Warman pickups in my guitars. Vintage Texas Rangers, Tennessee Revivals and both neck and bridge Telecaster Alnico 5/2s. All of them are absolutely fantastic. I have also ordered various other pickups and components from them and the customer experience has been fantastic. The only problems I've ever had have been caused by poor quality soldering done by me. Fortunately I have become a lot better at soldering, earthing and electronics in general which has in some ways been improved by info and guidance on the site itself and in the related community. For the guitarist on a budget this is top quality kit that measures up to the overpriced big boys.

Dogs 'o' War P90

I recently bought a reissue Epiphone Coronet and was pleasantly surprised at the build quality. As a devoted fan of Warman pickups, I decided to spice things up a bit and fit a Dogs'o'War single dogear P90 to my Coronet. Wow, what a transformation! Think Leslie West at his finest using a Les Paul Junior. You can go from a whisper to a howling dog with a range of awesome sounds in between! If you love P90 Juniors, then this is the bad boy for you.

Warman Destroyers are more than their name implies

I have played guitar for over 30 years, & spent money on pickups from every single brand, & thought I was 'a knowledgable consumer'.

I wasn't. I one day discovered Warman Guitar's pickups as a second-hand pickup, & the end result was I felt stupid, & someone who was too busy buying into marketing hype.

Warman's pickups are as good as or better than ANY 'well known' brand name pickups out there, with their Destroyer humbucker now being my sole go-to choice for every single humbucker-loaded guitar build/acquisition I make.

Josi is dedicated to making brilliant, high-quality & more importantly, NOT marketing-pricing-inflated pickups that deliver consistently, perform great & with amazing customer service, as well as super helpful suggestions & recommendations (Destroyer Bridge with the HBP90 neck for example .... this for example, is everything I never realised I actually needed!!!).

Their Destroyer humbucker pickup is the ONLY Humbucker model I will ever buy again for my bridge positions .... this pickup's name is easily deceptive as a pure hardcore metal pickup, but its versatility is nothing short of astonishing, & under roll-off cleans up so bloody well - which its output classification belies.

If you're not considering Warman's pickups in your guitar, you're honestly 'doing it wrong' as a guitar player & consumer ....

Been using Warman guitar strings for a couple of years now and wouldn't use anything else. Great tone, stretch in good and play lovely. At only £13 for a set of 3 a great price as well.
Very friendly people and quick to post out. Give them a try 10 - 46 is my preferred gauge. 10 out of 10.
