The website froze after I'd entered all my data
I had to spend the best part of an hour with online chat - which has no authority to do anything useful, and eventually had to repeat everything id entered to a customer service person.

Upon reviewing the online chat you had with one of our advisors there seemed to have been a small technical issue and we confirmed that your policy had not been activated online.
Unfortunately there is only so much technical support that can be provided via our online chat and due to our internal policies we are unable to process policy activation via this service, this is the reason why we requested you to call our customer services team to activate your policy.
We can understand how this experience may have been frustrating for you, we have taken your comments on board as we always try to listen to our customer's feedback to see how we can continue to improve our services.
Ludicrous quote
Just obtained a quote for warranty cover on my BMW 440i, for which I had just received my renewal quote from BMW.
The BMW quote was for full comprehensive cover including breakdown cover at £447. Several other warranty companies coming in at about £600-£800.
Warranty Direct quote was, after applying a discount of £1272, for £2328!! That wasn't even for comprehensive cover which they would not provide, it was the next level down.
Utterly unbelievable. What a ridiculous price.
