Based on reviews, created with AI

Most reviewers were let down by their experience overall. Many customers found the user experience to be consistently negative, frequently encountering issues with matchmaking that led to unfair battles against much stronger opponents. They also expressed significant dissatisfaction with the pricing structure and perceived lack of value for money, feeling pressured to spend to progress. Some people were dissatisfied with the product and quality, noting that certain vehicles seemed overpowered while others were underperforming or had inaccurate in-game representations compared to their real-life counterparts. However, a few other people also felt that the game was enjoyable and offered good graphics for a free-to-play title, suggesting that mastering tactics and understanding the game's mechanics could lead to a positive experience.

War Thunder - A Rigged Game With 100% Certainty

You know how with some games, one could argue that they're realistic and the difference between the good players and the poor players is skill level? Well, after playing War Thunder for over 100 hours and grinding to Tier VII, I can tell you with absolute certainty that this is not such a game. In fact, I have videos to prove beyond a shadow of a doubt that this game is 100% rigged and the outcomes have nothing to do with skill level.

Here's why:
1) If the matching was random, you'd expect the win/loss ratio for any number of games played, irrespective of player skill to be approximately 50/50. While you're green and new and Gaijin wants to sucker you in, that ratio is pretty close to even. After you spend some time in the game, the matching and outcomes get progressively worse. I've had sessions where I've played for 12+ consecutive games, which have ALL been losses. Again, this has nothing to do with individual player skill, in fact let's assume that I'm a terrible player.

2) The RNG or whatever fancy explanation Gaijin uses to justify good old fashioned rigging is so blatant, that within the first minute of a game, I can tell you with 98% certainty who's going to win. It's very simple - one team snap shots everything, while the other has to aim and hit 2, or more times to kill a tank. Today in 1 game, 3 of us had surrounded the enemy tank and were shooting him point blank and couldn't kill him. Of course Gaijin will blame the player, you need to get better you see, because you need to "learn" where to shoot... :)

3) The physics are utter garbage, no matter how much Gaijin claims that their game is "realistic". I take a corner, I look around and there's no-one but me. I look away for 1 second and then look back in the same direction and BOOM, there's a **cking Mouse there, which one-shots me. A Mouse, the largest and slowest tank in the game! I've also had enemy tanks shoot me through buildings, hills and walls. I've had them turn a house corner at 80km/h and 1-shot kill me in less than 1/3 of a second. Just like in real life, right Gaijin?

Why has Gaijin rigged the game you may ask? Simple, they make lots and lots of money from frustrated players who whip open their wallets and think that it's their inferior tank, or skill and that upgrading to a higher tier vehicle will solve the problem. I'll let you in on a little secret, once you get that higher tier tank, it will be absolutely the same rigged disaster because of (1), (2) and (3) above - i.e. it's not you and Gaijin simply wants to get you out of your money.

War Thunder is not a "free" game. It's a pay to play racket, just like World of Tanks (probably the same outfit). Would NOT recommend this game, which is a shame, because the tanks look fantastic and the graphic details of the game are top notch.

The gaming environment is very bad

The gaming environment is very bad, and the gaijin seems to intentionally encourage players to take revenge on each other. The economic benefits are extremely low, and the game is deliberately designed to make the player experience very bad so that they will invest more time and money.

For masochists

If you need to suffer to punish you from some things come and play this game. You will see what is becoming a target for people buying premiums that have nothing more interesting in life than spending their money in this crap. What about the cheaters ? hmmm. Gaijin loves them as they push kids to buy for more premiums. Come and enjoy the life in grinding the tech trees in spending hours and hours without reaching any top tier tanks. Once you are in game, just wait and camp for you to try to get a kill. How fun.

Crap game

Crap game. 90% of the time your team will be d-umb. I mean like kindergarten rejected category. The rest are overinflated ego jerks who only see their stats as important in a fight. Excuses ranging from, "it's just arcade..." or "I was snipe covering..."

That's another thing. Your team fails consistently on backup and camp in the rear of the map to "snipe" or "shoot planes".... usually, they're quite useless and cost the match.

Half the rounds you're given are like airsoft vs artillery... they have OP armor... you're shooting pinballs.

Finally, the game doesn't ever improve... like at all. The complaints go unheard and the low lvl IQ peeps keep joining.

Overall a 1 star don't waste your time with the lack of team work imbeciles and narcissistic players.

Very dissapionting.

I thought I'd be a great game, but I was wrong. All the 'He must've been using 500% booster' memes are very accurate. Even while just playing normally! The tree is way too big for a grass toucher to get to top tier. I had my war thunder phase for probably 15 games until I got to BR 3 with a single tank. I hate how you need to pay to put more than 2 stickers on your tank! It doesn't cost them 5 bucks or whatever. I just want to put the eyeballs on my tank, but I guess not! You know what else sucks? All the filthy p2w players spend crazy amounts on money on bushes to make their tanks hard to spot. I can't tell if their wallets or the f2p players are more distressed. I've not wasted too many hours on this game, Maby 4? But it's still 4 hours down the drain.

Thanks for reading my review. Hope y'all have a great day.

In light of the new awful economy…

In light of the new awful economy changes, I have compiled a list of all the scummy things Gaijin does which worsen the experience for all players, in the name of profit only. I really hope they change some of these things for the better.

Intentionally releasing new vehicles in an overpowered state in order to make people grind as quickly as they can to abuse them before the nerfs.

Intentionally releasing overpowered premium vehicles and not nerfing them, in order to make people purchase them.

The price of said premiums being equal to triple-A games. I don't know how it's excusable for some premiums to be $70 when they already sell premium accounts for $10 a month.

Intentionally making SL modifiers low and repair costs high, so that the average player cannot break even in SL after a game. This encourages them to purchase a premium account or a premium vehicle. This also encourages players to leave after one death to minimize losses.

Implementing research efficiency and tiers to make players buy more than one premium per nation in order to grind. Keep in mind each premium can cost up to $70.

Forcing players to buy a vehicle previous to the one they want to buy, regardless if they ever want to use it. A lot of vehicles should be in a folder but are not, because Gaijin wants you to spend more SL.

Forcing players to buy X vehicles from the previous tier before they can buy vehicles in the next tier. This increases the grind and forces you to buy vehicles that you might never have any intention of playing.

Still making the SL and RP grind painfully slow even if you are using Premium vehicles and a Premium account, especially at the top tiers. Mind you you are paying $10/month + the price of 2-3 premiums per nation you want to grind and it's still very slow.

Intentionally making stock vehicle performance extremely insufferable by locking away essential needs such as Spare Parts, FPE, NVD, usable ammo, and countermeasures. This is to make players purchase these modifications with GE.

Introducing crew qualifications, which are arguably a pay-to-win feature. Aced crews provide significant advantages over basic. The SL cost for expert crews and the grind for Ace crews are not viable for the average player, people just purchase Ace crews.

Putting players in debt over their own mistake after the January 2022 incident. They could have just let those players keep their 7 days of premium as a New Year's gift and take the good publicity but they doubled down. This was so bad that some players were going to take legal action because they felt as if they got scammed, and Gaijin was forced to remove the debt because of the insane backlash.

Selling pay-to-win bush cosmetics, which otherwise are extremely hard to grind for, are unavailable for half the year, and you only get one random bush.

Implementing an RP soft cap, which punishes skillful players because otherwise they would grind too quickly and won't be compelled to spend money.

Introducing strike drones, to make the game more frustrating and to make people lose SL. If you get 2 kills and then die with your drone it will be less SL earned than the repair costs of what you killed due to the modifiers, a net negative overall.

Intentionally making one nation overpowered, then making a different nation overpowered in order to make players purchase premiums to grind the new overpowered nation.

Intentionally keeping the BR's compressed in order to make the game more random and frustrating, to limit skillful players, and make players more likely to spend GE on mods, crews or premiums.

Intentionally making minor nations have underpowered vehicles with very high repair costs and low modifiers, because they are played by mostly experienced players who would otherwise grind too quickly.

Making Boosters expire for no reason other than to take advantage of FOMO

Slashing the economy time after time but disguising it as a net positive. For example, making the players "choose", but nerfing the economy either way and putting the blame on the players.

Introducing extremely grindy events with vehicles that never return, or are sometimes OP, capitalizing on FOMO.

Introducing lootbox-style crates bought for GE, or ridiculous amounts of SL, with very low chances of getting the reward you want. This is effectively gambling at worst and very predatory at best.

They do not need to be this aggressive when it comes to monetization. This game already makes so much, I just hope they start caring more about their player base and less about their profits.

Worst game ever do not play

The game is just absolutely terrible i could write a 5000 word document but ill keep it short.

Pay to win (still) Progression is impossible. Somehow for some magical reason people with a single premium tank in their loadout get only downtiers? lets not even start on convertable rp. the golden eagles are way too expensive. in short the game is absolutely trash and i hope that the devs lose their down syndrome.

Greetings from fu#kyouwarthunder

DON'T PLAY THIS TRASH

Playing this trash from 2015, the ONLY thing better than 2015 is server. Everything else is totally broken. Furthermore, gayjin never tries to fix anything. Balance? trash, economy? trash, game mechanics? it's so broken that about 15mm non-angled aluminum sheet can block 150mm HE and it happens at least 5 times in a match! This game also presents you tons of ghost shells! I shot enemy 30 rounds in aa but all of them were gone to gulag! Also, devs are not adding new vehicles. Just copy-pasting alreadt existing one.

In short, this game is buggy as hell, devs are not caring about gaming experience, no updates.

War Thunder is RIGGED GARBAGE!

War Thunder is RIGGED GARBAGE!
1) Please explain how a M36 with 300mm pen, hits a M18 Hellcat 5 times at point blank range can't kill the tank! A .50cal can pen an M18.
2) Please explain how a Tiger II that hit an M41 (25mm armor) 3 times (PzGr 39, 235mm pen) on the side can't kill it?
3) Explain how a Tiger II at point blank range can't kill a Jagdpanther, yet Jagdpanther kills the Tiger II with thicker frontal armor (both tanks carry same 88mm gun); respawn as a Jagdpanther only to get killed by a Tiger II that's completely across the map in the same game?
4) Please explain how an American T34 hitting an IS3 on the side at point blank range doing zero damage (120mm gun 280+mm pen) and the IS3 drives off unharmed and kills my T34 through my frontal armor with 1 shot?
5) Please explain how a M36 with 300mm pen can hit the side of a Panther at point blank range three times, the Panther continues to drive off unharmed and then get killed by an ally halfway across the map?
6) Please explain how a Panther G, at point blank range can't kill a M26 despite hitting the tank on the sides, back, front five times (192mm pen); only to get killed by the M26 with one shot that miraculous repaired itself?

Carefully crafted to make players suffer

Im sure game knowingly creates winning/loosing teams, creates frustration, does psychological experiments on players to see how it will affect their behavior. Almost guaranteed, no way they could make such a painful game otherwise

I suffered and played since 2015 and yesterday it crossed my mind to look up premium vehicles price because it would be cool to have. 65 euros? No thanks
