The Authoritarian Gas Co

Washington Gas showed up at 6:30 a.m. to replace a meter that has worked fine for 66 years. Comply or we cut your gas — that was the choice. No meaningful advance notice that a contractor would be coming inside to dismantle closet shelving and fixtures. I work from home. My desk is right next to that closet. Zero consideration for the disruption. Zero options. This is what a regulated monopoly looks like when it stops caring about customers. SCC complaint has been filed.
