The waders do look good quality

The waders do look good quality. Dunlop wellies, fixed well into the wader. That’s the good bit.

The bad news? Well, they do come up a little small in the foot - either that or all my youngest’s other shoes and boots are large in the foot. Not the end of the world, except that there are issues with returns.

Firstly, you have to cover postage on returns yourself.

Secondly, in my experience, they take a long time to get back to you. I get it - small family business, plus they went away on a long holiday. But by the time they finally did get back to me about whether I could return the waders, I wanted to get it done as quickly as possible because it had been nearly three weeks since I first bought them.

So I put them in the post, *thought* I’d followed the instructions accurately - returning them with the product label and so on - turns out that I’d been in such a hurry I’d misread them. I’d read it as putting the product info in the actual bag with the boots - the instructions say the opposite.

So thirdly, because a bit of ink from the product label rubbed off on the waders, they’re unsuitable to sell on, which means that I don’t get any money back. They were going to send the waders back to me - not much point me having a pair of ill-fitting waders lying around the house - I said no.

A really disappointing experience and I don’t think I’d be quite as upset about it if it had all taken a couple of days rather than several weeks (and *two* lots of postage) during which time my five year old was without waders.

As I’ve said, the waders do look to be top quality. So I wouldn’t want people to discount the company entirely based on my experience.

But to reiterate, I would advise that firstly they do seem to come up small in the foot, secondly you have to cover any returns yourself, and finally, make sure you read any return instructions exactly (before you even open your package. Just in case).
