This should be 0 if I could. Bennie offered a price to complete a downstairs extension with staged payments. He received 70 percent of the money from us, only for us to find out he hadn’t paid the traders and even left a toilet on our drive that he hadn’t paid the bill for !!
He ruined our new patio which he said would make good but never did and did not care about protecting our garden at all.
He was rarely at the site and when he was, it was commented on by the traders that he was trying to cut corners.
Bennie was given so many chances to rectify the work which he said he would do and never did.
He failed to upload any of the documents required by building control or provide any invoices, receipts or guarantees for the work carried out.
We are now in the process of finishing the project ourselves, which will go over the amount in the contract significantly.
This project was started in March and is still not finished.
