Every Image Disappeared Suddenly- Even Backgrounds. Published Website Ruined. Can’t Reach Support.

I’ve been working on a website for my already established company for the past year.. I’ve put easily over a 100hrs of work into it & am so close to being completely done. Then 2 days ago, I was editing as normal.. when suddenly, out of no where all my images were gone from the page. (Background & all). I began to frantically check the other pages of my website.. and it was the exact same. Any & all images- gone. I was hoping it was going to end-up just being an issue in editor but when I checked my published website page- it reflected on that as well. No images at all, anywhere. Images were half my site as I create my own images sometimes. I emailed customer support right away & still haven’t heard back 2 days later. 2 days is an insanely long-time to not hear back for something like this when comes to people’s businesses. I wish I realized before I signed-up with them that they didn’t have a customer support phone line! Ugh. Would’ve been a huge red-flag right there. I wouldn’t take the gamble. It’s just not worth it!! :/

WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER

WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER! You literally have minimal to zero support when there are issues. I am located in the US so my only means to contact them is via email or their contact form and they NEVER respond to that. Last time my email was down, I had to spam their social media account for a response. Now I want out! I want to transfer my domain away from them permantely and here we go again, no response to any support emails. I am complaining to any and everyone I can about the scam likely of a company. If I could sue them for damages I would.

Don't go there

I've been using Webnode's service for over one year and although it's an easy builder they force you to move your domain to their host and your control over it is none. You cannot manage your urls or 301 redirects. On top of that, they lie when it comes to the number of visitors to your website to force you to buy a higher package with a better bandwidth. I don't recommend it, there are better builders out there and some of them are honest.

Bad customer experience

Website building is easy, nice and friendly. Nice templates, fast reactions. The problem comes with customer service-they answer unclear and not fast enough, actually no chatting is available and they are not result oriented. So, better not.

Otter Sales owner is bad with customers.

otter-sales1 is a website made on webnode do not buy from this website.... my little brother bought Robux from the owner and it took him like a full day to get some codes, still not delivered on the moment i am writing this review.... bad service, does'nt care about his customers and this guy got his own website and company? this guy does'nt deserve a own company the way he is taking to get some stupid codes.... he told my little bro he had the codes like 6 times and didnt deliver any of them, so people be warned do not buy from this guy.

Reason for editing the score is because webnode took this serious and blocked the owner + website because the owner started to make treats towards me.
Happy to hear Webnode took it really serious and took the actions needed.

In general I can tell you that Webnode is not responsible for the content placed on the websites of our users and the users themselves are responsible for it.

However, this is a case that I'd like to look into to make sure that if this website is used to scam people, we can block it. We don't allow scam websites on our platform.

Webnode has been the absolute worst…

Webnode has been the absolute worst company and customer service I have ever dealt with. For well over a week, I have been trying to have my domain name transferred back to me so that I can use a host server closer to home; one that actually helps you to resolve issues efficiently and in a timely manner. I currently have had six (maybe more) responses asking me to verify my contact information. Of those six, half have asked for the verification so they can transfer my domain back to me and the other half have asked for the verification and that they will manage my domain. Furthermore, they advertise their business as being located in Switzerland; however, their phone number that they provide is actually a Czech Republic phone exchange. I am beyond frustrated with this company! I have replied to ALL of their emails and requests, and I'm getting NOWHERE! I feel like I'm being held hostage and forced to use their services. If I could've rated a zero, I would have. In my humble opinion, this company is a SCAM!!! The one-star rating being shown is too much...

The domain transfer is a process that can take from few hours to several days depending on the domain TLD and whether it has a privacy service active or not. The transfer is taking longer in your case because of the active privacy service for your domain and this privacy service needs to be cancelled first. That is why the process is a bit lengthy in your case.

I checked your ticket and you contacted us from an address we do not have in our system. You also don't mention the website's address. As you can see we don't have enough information to help you.
But in general - we never shut down premium websites without a warning. We always send several notifications via e-mail to inform the website's owner that there is some urgent matter to attend to. Because you are contacting us from an unauthorised address, what could have happened is that you perhaps no longer have access to the original address that you used when creating the website?

Such an easy way in which to set up, develop, maintain and update your own website, whatever you want a social media profile for.

The costs are the best value for money around and the customer service support has always been first rate. Polite, prompt and supportive. Exactly what you need when you need to be focusing on your own business.

Having been involved in a number of projects over the past few years, I would absolutely recommend Webnode above all other website hosting providers

Inexistent technical support and shady practices

As other reviewers have said, they do not honor their own 14 day cancellation policy and will come up with all sorts of excuses not to issue a refund.

Also the most unhelpful site in terms of offering technical support. Each requests takes 48+ hours and they will just repeat their initial suggestion ad naseum (clear cache/cookies).

I am sorry that you have a bad experience when applying for a refund. I want to assure you that we always follow our T&C, therefore in case you purchased the service not more than 15 days ago, you are entitled to a refund. However, only premium packages (since it is 100% our service) can be refunded. When it comes to domain names, we purchase those at our registrar, meaning we are only a reseller and that is why we can not refund them. That is also state in our Terms of use.

If you indeed requested a refund of a package in time and it was declined, please send a message directly to me to our support (by stating my name in the subject: Jana K.) and mention the ticket ID of the communication you had with our staff and I will check why your refund was not approved and make sure that our T&C are followed in your case.

We try our best to answer the user requests as soon as possible but it always depends on the number of inquiries at the time. In cases when you need to speed up the solution, you can reach our phone support using the number available in every confirmation e-mail that we send about the purchase of services.

Clearing cache/cookies can indeed solve quite a lot of problems. But whenever it doesn't help, our technical department is investigating the issue further. Simply let us know the advice was not helpful and we will do our best to find out the root of the problem.

Webnode building site

1. After all I know about their service and the website builder, would I go with them again. The answer is, Yes.
2. Once you get to know their ropes, they are easy to deal with. This is important, know their rules and regs.
3. For example, use only one ticket ID or your answer from them takes a little longer.
4. They advertise 24 hour feedback and they do that. Although, if you submit a question on Friday night, don't expect a feedback until Monday. That you just have to live with. They have the weekend off.
5. On their feedback, it's quite extensive and really helps, especially for a guy like me who is not computer literate. They always put links in the feedback to help answer your question and even more.
6 They go overboard to help you with whatever problem you have. I have many problems and they are patient with me. I had no idea what a cache was but they explained it.
7. They are very polite and down to earth people, they don't think you are an idiot because you don't know something about building websites or about computers.
8. Once you get the hang of how the website works, it's them fairly easy to put things up on the site. I am learning every time I open the builder.
9. There aren't too many negatives, everybody has them. I guess I would add no help on weekends, but everybody has to have time off. I just live with it.
10. I have no complaint about the website builder but then I only know this one. It's a little difficult to move things around on a page but I'm getting the hang of it.
11. Again, the bottom line is, would I go with them again. Weighing the cost, the service and the website builder, the answer is very much Yes. And I know nothing about computers except how to turn it on. When I was a kid, a computer took up an entire room. Univac 1050-2. That shows you my age.

I am attempting to edit profile information. I have followed the steps after signing in for three days. It does not work. I have generated to help desk tickets. They have not provided any help although I requested that they send me the email they claim to have sent to my prior email address. No one is responding.

Case: [#ASG-129-16642] - Jana, can you help?

Ive been a customer of Webnode’s for a few years and noticed early last week that my projects have suddenly disappeared. I am unable to edit my website currently during an important phase in my business, as I’ve just launched.

I tried twice early last week to contact them through their support page and no response. I then emailed them, also twice, received one response to ‘clear my cookies and cache’ - this didn’t work. I emailed them again to say this and requested an update for when this could be resolved. 48 hours later I still haven’t received a response. It’s been over 10 days now since I cannot edit my site, and I still haven’t received a reply or explanation from Webnode as to what I can do.

I feel this is highly inconsistent and outrightly terrible customer service, when I previously received friendly and timely support from them. I’d either like my money back or receive some kind of compensation for this, as they have not provided help when I’ve most needed them. The fact I still cannot edit my page is highly alarming as most of my content is hosted through them.

I don’t want to leave a negative review but feel this is the only way to get their attention at the moment.

Whew! What An Awesome Team Webnode Is!!

It's been 8 years since I retired and stepped away from electronic types of creation, so when I decided to create a new website I was overly optimistic. Webnode Help saved my sanity in such a nice and polite manner when faced with my know-it-all attitude. I couldn't be happier with the website and beyond thankful for the help they provided in order to successfully publish it.

Webnode makes having a super site 100% possible.

I tried at least six different free site building and hosting places before Webnode. Although I do not expect much, none of the sites prior to Webnode were very good. After the last place, I had barely gotten halfway through at building a small site and I was banned, my site removed and they were set on their decision. I did everything right, abided all rules, etc. Frustrated, I wanted a better place, a nicer place, a stress-free place to start a site so I searched and found Webnode, the u.s. one. Since obtaining a free site from them, which I will definitely be upgrading to a paid one in the future, I have had nothing but smooth sailing. Easily built my site. Lots of great free photos I was able to choose from. Editing...it was a snap. The company has a clean, comfortable landing page and they are not overly pushy with trying to get you to upgrade or anything else. And the customer service response time has been decent. I really and truly like Webnode and I only wish I had found them sooner. In my opinion, Webnode has the rest of them beat.

Shady and non communicative

My entire site was disabled and I was within guidelines. I've had terrible customer service with over a day wait and a dead end response from another language. I cant even access my project to download my information for myself. Its intellectual property theft! Its pretty frustrating because I really liked the platform until now... might be a good idea to have a lawyer on hand.

Perfectly does the job for free!

I would honestly say this website creator is a great stepping stone to a professional look to my photography. It offers many templates that are simple to create and simple for viewers to navigate around the photos I publish. I haven't purchased a domain so not sure how trust worthy the site would be if i gave card details, but from the free creating of the website/ the non domain type, im really pleased. Without the domain I can share the link with anyone by direct message or social media bio's and I have received great feedback from viewers. Another point to add, updating of the website is very easy just by logging in and republishing changes. The original link you share will not need updating so every viewer is able to see the changes made as soon as publication is complete.

If I were to be picky, at the bottom of the website pages there is a banner that's rather large, reading "create your website for free, Webnode". I have a feeling this could put the professionalism down a little for your own website but at the end of the day it's essential for Webnode's advertisement.
