All three people I spoke to on the phone were very helpful. Ryan was very fast in providing the invoices I needed from the electricity account for our flat.

I think i got very clear, transparent and prompt feedback on my questions from the team - in particular Mariya.

I called WelcomeEnergy to reactivate my account and resolve a payment issue. The customer service person, named Athul was very helpful and kind during a long call. I had to repeat some procedure to fully understand, he was still helpful and patient. Thanks. We need more customer service person like him.

I dont know how it is lawful in the UK…

I dont know how it is lawful in the UK to have a company operating in such an unethical way.
1. They report you to collections agency even if you are up to date with your payments and use your data without your consent. They dont even contact you and take reasonable steps to let you know the process. On the contrary they kept telling me that the plan is set up and that everything is "fine" but I suddenly receive a message from collections regarding welcome energy non-payment which is not the correct procedure.
2. They send wrong bills which are clearly wrong and refuse to correct it meaning they're intentionally stealing in broad day light
3. They do not have a complaints team although they claim to have one designated but they don't even investigate and respond in a defensive manner and do not address customer issues.

Operating like this in the UK is unlawful and their prices are not even comparable to other companies. They aren't even an electricity supplier yet a billing company who cannot do the basic job. There is no legality in their operations.

Issue with Decimal Payments on PayPoint online System

I had reported an issue with your online payment system When I attempted to pay a bill through Paypoint the online system only allowed whole numbers and would not accept decimal amounts (e.g. £0.08). As a result, the full bill amount could not be paid.

For reference, I was able to pay a decimal amount the first time I used the system, but in later attempts, it seems this function was no longer available.

Welcome energy team seems not going to fix this issue. They just asked me to use direct debit or bank transfer or I can just pay more with the whole numbers when I prefer to use the card payment instead.

I recently moved from one apartment to another within the same development where energy services are managed by Welcome Energy. The account migration process was smooth and hassle-free. Big thanks to Jad for the excellent support and regular updates throughout the transition!

Do not trust. Nothing positive at all to say.

Do not trust and avoid.

They say the building is “under rate review” for months and in the meantime you’re accruing a massive bill you cannot pay towards, you have no idea what it’s going to be, nor when it’ll come.

Their website - once you’ve logged in - looks like something out of the 00s, and cannot be used for anything at all. Do not be fooled by the fancy home page.

You have to get through customer support to do simple things like submit a meter reading or find out your rate or any other information.

If your building is managed by them you can’t switch providers either.

Welcome Energy do one thing and they do it badly.

Welcome energy only seem to do one thing, and they seem really bad at it.

They've been handling the billing in my residential building for years and we've been stuck in contract with them for ages - still trying to get out of it, but the terms agreed by our management company were terrible.

Basically, welcome energy regularly issue the wrong bills, and then days later credit those bills and issue new ones. It's utter chaos.

For example, on the 1st of April they issues us a £1,200 energy bill for the quarter (for a 2 bed!) and then this morning, a day later, credited that and issued a new one at £540.
Chaos.

What if I'd paid the first? Would I get money back?
