The Wellis spa replaced another spa from a different brand, we must say that the Wellis spa is from another level that we were used to with the old one. It is very comfortable with many features, silence and it uses way less energy. With the remote control and the build-in speakers we enjoy Wellis throughout the year.

Having been steered towards buying a Wellis Jupiter from a hot tub store, I was concerned I'd inadvertently bought into a product they were pushing in financial partnership. I had never heard of Wellis. Indeed I knew very little about hot tubs at all. I just knew a few things I needed my hot tub to do, and was told The Wellis did them all. Anyway, in short it does. It's a beautiful tub, works well. Easy to maintain and despite it being a massive me cost wise, I have used it almost daily with zero regrets. My only gripe with Wellis, I wish parts were cheaper, and easier to source in the UK.
Other than that they seem to respond to emails on the rare occasions I've needed them!

The tub did appear to be pressure tested by the manufacturer. Leaked when I put it in operation. Pump clamp was not tightened. It was also missing several screws when the side cover was opened.
Several of the panels were not mounted flush. This caused open spaces that allow mice to easily enter the base. The corner panels are made of plastic with permanent plastic clips they secure it. Two of the panels had broken clips. One of the water lines was completely bent and would not allow water flow. They gave me a QR code to get my manual online. It did not work and when I asked if they could email a manual, they could not. They sent me one for a slightly similar model.

ORDER NUMBER: GLOM1097
Total Paid (inc. delivery): £5,298.99
Ordered: 5th August 2024
Delivered: 12th September 2024 (after being told 2-week delivery – over 5 weeks late)
We are beyond disappointed with our experience with Wellis Leisure / Johnsons. This has been a six-month ordeal filled with broken promises, zero accountability, and serious safety concerns. Dealing with Anthony from Aftersales/Aftercare.
Despite paying over £5,000, our sauna arrived late and has never functioned safely or correctly. On 16th November, we raised concerns over intermittent power issues. No response.
On 7th December, we experienced a serious electrical incident – sparks flew from the control unit, nearly causing a fire and electrically shocking someone. We flagged this immediately. It was clearly a dangerous manufacturing fault due to loose wiring.
It took until 13th December for a response. We were told a replacement part would be ordered from Hungary – no one inspected the sauna to confirm the issue or verify the correct part. This led to months of delays, constant chasing, unanswered emails, ignored calls, and vague promises of updates that never came unless we pursued them ourselves.
We were strung along week after week:
“Give it 7 more days, we’ll update you.”
They never did – we had to chase every single time.
In February, after zero progress, we sent a formal letter requesting resolution within 14 days – or we’d seek legal action.
Only then, on 21st February, did someone claiming to be “Anthony’s boss” finally call. We were told the original supplier had gone bust and Johnsons had taken over warranty claims. Ironically, it’s the same staff handling everything – same excuses, same incompetence.
10th March (3 months after the incident):
A technician finally came – only to find they had brought the wrong part. Shockingly, we learned that the correct part had been sitting unused in their Newark warehouse all along. Not only that, it was a used part, despite us being told a brand new one had been ordered months ago.
24th March: They returned with the “correct” part – which didn’t work.
27th March: Another visit with a working part – still couldn’t fix the sauna.
At this point, the technicians refused to continue work without further authorisation, saying they “weren’t being paid” – not our issue, but a clear indication of complete disorganisation and internal mismanagement.
After further chasing, we received yet another empty promise from Anthony that he'd get back to us within a week. Three more weeks passed with nothing. We have now gone directly to the Wellis Manufacturer in Hungary, only to be told that the part we needed has been out of stock since August 2024, when we placed our order.
This has been a nightmare. We’ve dealt with:
A potentially life-threatening product fault
Utterly unprofessional communication
Delays, lies, and misdirection
And now, we’re forced to pursue legal action
We strongly urge anyone considering purchasing from Wellis Leisure or Johnsons to avoid them at all costs. What should have been a positive investment in our health and wellbeing has become a source of stress, danger, and financial loss.

The hot tub's design is very good, hence some star. But we've had problems with the quality/build from the start. 1) There was a leak from the filter box once we filled the hot tub fully, 2) The lights stopped working totally. 3) Corner panels keep popping off and are hard to put back (tabs break easily). Each repair took a few weeks and still waiting 9 weeks+ for final light and corner panel fix.
I've been working with the showroom who sold tub to get resolution. They made multiple visits and only fixed leak. When other issues dragged on ("were waiting for parts from Wellis that must ship from Hungary") i called Wellis. First person couldnt help ("i cant trace any work orsers from the serial number") and trfd me to a voice mail. I was never called me back. Dead ends!
Easy for them to say "contact us" but thats meaningless. We could have spent 1/2 the price and got equally good (mediocre) quality and service.
Basically, the QUALITY with this tub is NOT what I expected for such a high cost.

Everything was fine during the installation of the jacuzzi, but later we bought a roof for the jacuzzi and I had a claim regarding that. I think this was not handled properly.

Its a beautiful and good quality hottub ! Also john the salesman who sold it to us was friendly and professional ! Only the men who came to install/deliver the hottub could have been a bit more friendly.

First major repair was less than 6 months after I bought it. The second major repair was supposed to be covered by the warranty (less than 3 years after purchase), but Wellis pointed towards the The Great Escape for warranty coverage and The Great Escape pointed towards Wellis. In the end, I had to pay out of pocket to fix it (over $1,000) for something that was supposed to be covered under warranty.

We purchased our Libra Spa from Coastal Spa & Patio in Anaheim.
Upon delivery and having the spa professionally wired, the spa would not function. A series of error codes were consistently displayed, therein, two service calls failed to repair as did countless phone calls to Coastal Spa and also Gekco Alliance.
I was finally able to contact Wellis service wherein a replacement topside control was shipped. I had to replace the topside control myself and the system still failed to work.
Another series of phone calls resulted with an entirely new Gecko spa pack control being shipped. After installing, again, I had to do the install myself, the spa finally worked.
This entire process tool over three months!
Wellis Service was polite and patient but it took a while to establish a contact person and I found it impossible to speak with the North America manager as the company seemed to be focused more on their new brand, Bueno Spas.
There were several broken screws in the spa's composite shell, so I had to drill them out, fill with epoxy and upgrade the screws to stronger square drive stainless steel screws, using beeswax to help lubricate the threads to prevent future issues.
I also found three jet fittings in the spa leaking quite badly, which again, I had to fix myself.
I'm honestly not sure I would purchase or recommend Wellis, and it's sad, as the composite inner frame and shell is precisely what I wanted and I also didn't want a spa filled with cheap foam, making future repairs exceptionally difficult. I feel the quality of the spa is decent but my overall experience is far from gratifying.
Coastal Spa stated they would no longer be carrying Wellis, opting for Platinum Spa's, which I refused to purchase being produced in China.
I'm grateful that Wellis finally came through and the spa is now working well with no further issues.

I purchased the spa about 5 weeks ago. The installers did not properly wire the spa correctly and had to return to rewire. they did not install the chiller - was told they were missing some fittings. I also have a light not working. The installers damaged the end caps trying to secure them- with screws- drilled a couple holes in them- one keeps falling off. I have sent pictures and made calls they have still not scheduled a return service trip to correct and finish installation.

Spa - looks good and is great fun, but I’d say there are some build / quality issues. The amount of filtration on the Danube swim spa is, I believe, not quite sufficient. 6k ltrs through one filter placed in one corner. The control panel is angled outwards which means it’s difficult to use from within the spa. The spa side panels are fixed by plastic strips screwed into place- This isn’t a good design.
The ability to reach customer service and receive help seems to be more difficult than it should be for my installer.
10mths old and I have a leaking ozone unit and an annoying rattle from the w-flow box.

The seal on a jet nozzle had crumbled and had to be replaced by Servce. The jets no longer move in and out. This is very unfortunate.
The color of the dark plastic parts, e.g. to regulate the air, increasingly fades. The dosage for the water fragrance does not work at all. The slat seal is constantly jammed.

The jet controllers attached to the plastic tubes came off the tub two weeks after the tub was installed. The salesman believes that Sirona sanitizer is degrading the tubes which evidently occurred on a regular basis 4-5 years ago. To date, nine jet controllers have detached from the tubes which are breaking in place. The salesman has replaced them at no cost, and I am very appreciative of his support. I can’t believe that others haven’t experienced this and that Wellis hasn’t redesigned the tubes to eliminate this problem. My salesman has provided me an alternative sanitizing program that he believes will solve the problem. We will see if this solves the problem or if the tubes and jet controllers are defective.

It's a great bit of kit is the hot tub so relaxing with the blue tooth music playing from my phone & the jets massaging your body
It holds temp when not in use & only looses 1 to 2 degrees over two to 3 hours use
We use it all year round

We clearly received a Friday afternoon noon model with so many problems we’ve had more visits by the engineers with time off work to see them at the house and still no real and sensible conclusion
We’ve be left hanging on waiting for a response the communication is shocking with us doing all the chasing
Very disappointed and would not recommend to anyone the idea that we can relax when using it is not the case when your just waiting for the next problem to reoccur.
Do not bother with the WIZ system as it doesn’t work and they can’t sort them out or calibrate them useless
Save money and buy test strips

Absolutely loving our Wellis Kilimanjaro. It was nicer than all of the other spas we looked but we were able to get it for a lot less. We had a minor issue after delivery and they were out the next day to resolve it. We almost didn't get another hot tub after our bad experience with master spas. so glad we did. My back is thanking me.

After owning a Wellis Mandala for about 7 months I must say I deeply regret the purchase.
I have been having some issues with the tub for three months now. Warped side panel, corner panels falling off, and the lights stopped working.
I have emailed/called, reached out to Victor Ruiz the customer service manager at Wellis many, many times. However, they still are not able to find and schedule someone to come and repair my tub.
Maybe if you are in an area with a dealer you will be ok, but I would strongly recommend against buying directly from Wellis, as they seem to have no ability to provide service, despite promising that it would not be an issue.
Update: (4/30/25)
Still trying to get the side panel resolved, but Victor with Welis has been working with us to get parts, and he did find a local technician that has been responsive. Unfortunately the replacement side panel they sent was for the wrong hot tub... New one is inbound and should be delivered next week. Will update once that arrives and is installed.
