Your Issue Had Better Be REALLY basic

I had a question about our law firm IOLTA trust account. It was obvious the customer service representative (with a strong, almost unintelligible accent) had no idea what he was doing, so he transferred me to another department, which had nothing to do with the problem at hand. Typical Wells Fargo "help".

After 27 years as a Wells Fargo customer, I’m done.
While I kept $600,000 in savings with Wells Fargo and ran over $2.4 million annually through my accounts, my savings interest was quietly pushed down to 0.01% — effectively nothing — while Wells Fargo profited from the use of my money.
On top of that:
Foreign currency exchange rates were consistently poor, costing me real money.
My assigned small-business representative showed little interest or regard for the size or longevity of my relationship.
There was no proactive outreach, no retention effort, and no accountability.
Wells Fargo feels like the overpriced convenience store of banking: premium margins, mediocre service, and zero loyalty to long-term customers.
I’ve already moved more than $1 million out and will continue transferring funds until I no longer bank with Wells Fargo at all. Not out of emotion — simply because better institutions exist.
If Wells Fargo wants better reviews, it should start by paying competitive interest, offering fair exchange rates, and treating long-term customers as assets instead of inertia.

Wells Fargo says they provide an extra…

Wells Fargo says they provide an extra day grace period should your account become overdrawn, however they will claim any deposit you make prior to the cut off time came too late. Luckily I had proof on my end of what time I actually made the deposits, then they gave some other reason to charge the fees. Horrible customer service! I will be changing banks after the holidays.

Is a month ti get a replacement debit card good service?

I had my debit card stolen over a month ago. I reported it, it was cancelled and I was promised a new one in 5-7 days. After two weeks and no card I called. The one “mailed” was cancelled. I then asked, given the circumstances, to fedex a card. Not even possible I was told. Despite the time and no fault of mine - the “customer care” team insisted on taking the same action again.

Guess what - the definition of crazy — same action, same result. No card. Now almost a month trying to get a debit card from WF.

To say this is poor device is generous. This is ludicrous. I’m sure that when I call I’ll get another card mailed and I will have to wait another three weeks to repeat this craziness.

Wells Fargo in Sebastian Florida is…

Wells Fargo in Sebastian Florida is HORRIBLE! This bank contacted my mother on to go over ideas they had to invest the money she had in her 1% interest savings account. When we told them we did not want to do them, they TOOK AWAY HER 1% INTEREST PAYMENT. When we saw it and called, they said they have the ability to adjust or remove an interest payment for any or no reason. Then they had the nerve to again try to get us to put money into the investments they tried to sell us weeks ago, saying we could earn more than 1% there. They STOLE her interest payment to try and FORCE her to buy RISKY INVESTMENTS. THIS BANK IS DISREPUTABLE AND DOES NOT CARE ABOUT THEIR ELDERLY CLIENTS WHO ARE ON A FIXED INCOME. My Mom depended on that interest payment to pay her bills and this bank STOLE IT FROM HER FOR NO REASON! Take your business to TD Bank where they pay 3xs the interest on a savings account! Wells Fargo are THIEVES

Terrible customer service experience

Terrible customer service experience, if you call their 800 number be prepared to stay more than 15+ minutes for them just to process your issue, totally demoralizing, they get on top of your nerves, get you tired of waiting, tell them what you want to hear just to come back later after 1 week to see that the issue is not being solved

How is Wells Fargo still in business?

How is Wells Fargo still in business? The corporate structure has hamstrung their employees and won't allow them to actually take care of their customers. Spent an hour on the phone with Katlyn and her manager Jennifer to try and get lien release form. It takes WEEKS and the last one we got was a copy the county clerk wouldn't accept. Absolute failure as a company.

Banks: Still functioning like it’s 1974.

The way banks handle face-to-face business hasn’t changed since their inception. I am currently standing in the Wells Fargo Bank in Bartow Florida. I have been in line for 15 minutes and will probably be at least 10 minutes more before I get to the ONE teller they have working the counter on the Monday after Thanksgiving. There are at least two other people wandering around doing various other “bank things”. Why they are not helping customers until the line ceases I have no idea. All I need is a money order. I’m from out of town and my gps show this as the closest bank to my location. Had I known what was about to unfold, I would have avoided this bank the way I avoid all banks as if they have the plague. I stopped here to get a money order only to get to the counter and be told they can’t sell me a money order because I don’t have an account with them. Too big to fail was the government’s mantra in 2008. Well, IMO banks NEED to fail, then maybe they’ll get their act together and become more people-oriented. After all, they depend on people’s money to keep them in business.
This experience reaffirms my stance against banks for day-to-day functions. Join a credit union.

Avoid at all cost unless you want to have a heart attack

Incompetent disrespectful all around.Glenview and Touhy Illinois location are the worse!Nothing better calling them also over their 800 number.Left hand does not know what the right one is doing. How can they operate at this level is mind buggling.Totally unproffesional.Knowledge in helping is zero. The security called me telling me they blocked me from coming in all locations to pay in person because they don't like to be critized for their Incompetence.I wish there is a lawsuit i will gladly join. They don't belong in bussiness.People don't deserve this kind of torture.I will tell everyone to avoid them at all cost.

They lied, only tell you what you want to hear

I was told using their card would cover car rental expense in case of car issues. Wrong, I bought a new tire for rental car because I could not get any service thru rental company. WF said that counted as roadside service and would not be reimbursed. I did not have roadside service, i was at the tire shop. Also, I got overcharged for something else and they said I can dispute it. I did but then I did not qualify. They said it was not their responsibility but master card.

I’m actually feeling better by seeing…

I’m actually feeling better by seeing this slushy bank has only one stars review. Looks like I’m not the only one unsatisfied customer here!I had been a loyal customer to this bank for close to 20 years actually, have excellent credit score, never missed any payment abd always been on balance I supposed to keep, but , as you may actually know , they can kick you out to be their customer, for being to good! Means, no debts, no profit to bank, no cc, no profit, never late, same thing , so one day they just told me we are not good fit and when I asked why , they told me per agreement they don’t have to disclose. So folks, read a small prints. I m working with an attorney on this matter. Feels like a discrimination to me . Good luck to everyone here 😀

Family Is No Longer a Customer

After 15+ years, I finally closed my accounts for my family and myself. The fees and the horrible horrible customer service on the phone and in person is appalling. Recently, I wanted to sell my car. My loan was through Wells Fargo. This was the final nail in the coffin. Buyer was paying with money from Navy Federal. Wells Fargo REFUSED to take a check, wire, or bank order from Navy Federal. Each customer service rep, in person and on the phone, gave me a different reason as to why. The most common answer was they did not take checks anymore. Never heard a bank say that before. All I wanted to do was pay off the car and give it to the buyer. It took almost 3 weeks of moving the money to third party account (because of the amount), to be able to pay off the car. I typically do my car loans through USAA, but WF had better rates this time around. USAA clears car sales same day. So, for this bank to take 3 weeks, refuse to help, and to require appointments to talk to anyone is just insane to me. Once the loan was paid off, I removed all of my money from Wells Fargo for the entire family and closed the accounts.

The company kept me on their computer…

The company kept me on their computer answering service wasting my time and not getting close to my problem. I finally got a representative and then I was transferred from person to person for another 90 minutes. All I wanted to do was take care of a bill pay payment that was missing. I finally demanded a supervisor. It took them another thirty minutes but they finally fixed it.

Albert Myers needs to be in charge of the bank

This one star is for Wells Fargo. I have been a customer for 17 years and use online banking daily. The website kept telling me that my mobile phone was a landline and that I couldn't use it for Zelle. Although it accepted it to send money and it used it to text me notifications. I called CSA one and she said she would take care of it and that it would take 2 or 3 days to correct, Got an email that this broke my link with my Quicken so called back and got 2nd CSA and he said he couldn't do anything so I asked to be transferred to a CSA in the USA and he said sure and transferred me, while on the line with CSA three I got more emails breaking my account, I asked CSA3 if she was in the USA and she said no so I asked her if she could transfer me to a CSA in the USA and she said it would take a bit, would I hold, told her yes, then CSA4 came on the phone, told him about the phone number then the emails, 7 total during these calls, that kept breaking one thing after another.
Now I can't access my bank account or my car loan, can't access online "Your Wells Fargo credentials are disabled" and the number listed is the number I called each time, so I asked CSA4 was he in the USA and he said yes in Texas. CSA4 said he couldn't help me, I would have to go into the bank on Monday, this happened on Saturday. I asked him if my debit card would still work and he said yes, just my online access was messed up. Monday morning I went to the local Wells Fargo Bank and we sat for a while, there were only 2 bankers and 2 tellers in a huge building. A woman banker came out, I asked if she could fix my online access and she said no, they didn't take walk ins anymore. I would have to make an appointment. She said go the tellers and tell them I need an appointment,
The young lady teller (there were only two)told us that the next available appointment was Wednesday October 29, 2025 at 3:30 so we said ok. I went outside and visited the Wells Fargo website, as a guest, there were appointments available October 28 but the teller lied to us. Then I had to go to the Walgreens for a prescription and I was told that my debit card was denied so four phone techs and 2 bank employees conspired to not only lock me out of my accounts but locked my debit card as well putting my health in danger. I can't answer for other offices but Silver City, NM Wells Fargo just needs to close if they can't find polite, professional, helpful employees that don't do childish things.
10/29/25- This review is 5 star for Albert Ray Myers Wells Fargo banker, at Silver City, NM Wells Fargo. Mr. Myers worked to get our online access and our debit cards fixed. Mr. Myers informed us that the bank does still allow walk-ins, and he worked with the banks support system for one and a half hours to get our access to our accounts back. He was very professional, polite, attentive, helpful, and pleasant to talk to and easy to work with. We have had an account with this bank for 17 years and this is the first time we had a problem but it was a doozy and very frustrating until Mr. Myers took care of us and resolved all the issues that had been going on for 5 days. Thank you Albert Ray Myers!

The tellers and managers at the Buchtel…

The tellers and managers at the Buchtel Rd, Denver, Colorado, branch are very knowledgeable and friendly! They gave me great advice about protecting my account(s). They offered to change one of my accounts to a higher interest rate which I readily agreed to!
I HIGHLY recommend this branch!!

Most horrible customer service…

Most horrible customer service experience ever ! Waited 1.5 hr in the lobby on a banker that was chatting about a fishing trip for over an hour while several customers were waiting to take care of legitimate banking needs. When I asked the banker how much longer, she became very defensive and arrogant towards my daughter and I.. We just walked out after that... This was the Well Fargo Branch on Waugh Drive in Houston, Texas.

If I could give 0 stars I would

If I could give 0 stars I would. I don’t understand why every time I call this bank, their tellers want to argue and not listen to my wishes. I have been trying to file a claim for weeks and the customer service agents AND supervisors say they don’t have a phone number for the department. I spoke with a supervisor two weeks ago who provided a phone number, so I am confused on the constant change of service standards. They really need to get it together, none of the other banks I am with gives me this much trouble. Credit unions are way better and more professional.
