100% Price Hike in a Year - A Disgrace

I recently inquired about renewing the lease on my mother's above-ground vault and was absolutely shocked to discover that the price had increased by 100% in just over a year. When I first inquired in June 2023, the cost was £1,239. Now, in September 2024, the price has jumped to an astonishing £2,425.67. How is such a steep increase even justifiable?

I understand that the cost of living has affected everyone, but this goes far beyond reason. How can ordinary people possibly afford these inflated prices? It's deeply upsetting to see businesses exploit grieving families with such exorbitant price hikes.

Dealing with the loss of a loved one is already incredibly difficult, and to face such financial pressure on top of that is simply disgraceful. Due to these unreasonable costs, we are now in the distressing position of having to consider moving my mother's vault and finding more affordable alternatives, which will inevitably incur further expenses.

The plot, the grounds are amazing and I couldn't have wished for a better resting ground for my mother. But now, this has left a bitter taste in the mouth along with unnecessary stress to try and find a solution.

It feels like these companies are taking advantage of people's grief, and it's unacceptable. I hope this review helps others be aware of what they might face when dealing with such companies.
