I purchased a set of chairs and small…
I purchased a set of chairs and small bistro table which cost well in excess of $3200.00. Now over two years old and the stainless steel is rusting and the wood dowels on the teak chairs have come out. In reaching out on the warranty, I was reminded to polish the stainless steel on a regular basis. We have other sets, purchased from both Costco and Terra, and those show little to no degradation. I am dismayed at the poor customer service and lack of integrity. I rarely if ever complain, but truly unhappy with the quality of the product and poor response from this seller. A warranty response that is met with disdain and lecture on how to care for furniture is not a warranty.
While I appreciate that Westminster Teak sells quality products, I now see that their "stainless steel" is of a quality less than what I might have expected. We live in No. California, the foothills which has rather hot summers. We have always covered all our outdoor furniture and upon removal this year noticed dramatic rusting on the steel. In what world does stainless steel rust as much as it has. I provided photos of what we found and expect more than an offer to polish the rust away. I had expected this set to last more than 2.5 seasons before showing signs of failure.

While 316L stainless steel is among the most corrosion-resistant available, superficial surface spotting or “tea staining” is a widely recognized phenomenon that can occur over time due to environmental factors like humidity, airborne particles, or even proximity to pool chemicals or fertilizers. This superficial spotting is not the act of rusting, which compromises the structural integrity of the product, resulting in degradation of the steel. Rather, it is a cosmetic occurrence that requires occasional maintenance—similar to how even luxury automobiles need regular care to maintain their finish. The same applies to teak, which is a natural, organic material that will weather with exposure, requiring periodic maintenance.
As the stainless steel matter is a non-warrantable issue related to expected material behavior rather than a defect, our response was aimed at providing solutions—offering replacement teak plugs, complimentary care products, and guidance to help you maintain your furniture. Our goal is to empower our clients with the knowledge and support needed to maintain their investment for years to come.

While we stand behind the high quality of our products, we simply could not sustain a lifetime warranty if we were responsible for replacing all items that only require routine care to restore. Perfect teak sunlounger for our Midcentury Modern home…
We had been looking for a clean lined modern teak chaise lounge for our enclosed secret garden off of our primary bedroom. Aesthetics, comfort and durability were top of the decision tree. We found the perfect model at Westminster Teak. We ordered it. It was delivered to Santa Barbara the very next day. The driver could not have been nicer! The one glitch was the extensive wait for cushions in the Sunbrella fabric of our choice. Luckily we found a custom cushion fabricator online and we had our cushion in 10 days.

I had previously ordered the same product from another source. The product was never shipped and finally received a refund after 2 months. I then ordered from you. The same product was $20 less, was shipped the next day, and delivered 3 days later. Relatively speaking, this was a superior experience.
