⚠️ Warning

⚠️ Warning: Dishonest and Unsafe Practices by Wetility

I want to caution anyone considering doing business with Wetility. My experience with this company has been extremely negative, and I believe consumers deserve to know the risks before engaging with them.

Wetility issued a fraudulent Certificate of Compliance (COC) for my property, despite work being done by unqualified technicians.

When confronted, they attempted to retract the COC, which is not only irregular but also a serious legal matter.

As a direct result of their work, I have suffered damages exceeding R50,000 to appliances and electrical systems.

They have repeatedly lied, backtracked, and avoided accountability, instead of resolving the issue responsibly.

Requests for proper documentation, installer details, and cooperation with authorities were met with resistance.

This is not just poor service — it raises concerns of fraud, consumer rights violations, and safety hazards. I have opened a case with the authorities, and I strongly advise others to think twice before dealing with Wetility.

Your home and safety are too important to risk on a company that operates in this manner.

Absolutely Disgraceful

Absolutely Disgraceful – Wetility Has Cost Us Thousands in Damages Due to Their Incompetence

If you’re considering Wetility for solar, do yourself a favour and run the other way.

On the first weekend of April, we had a power outage. Our solar system — installed by Wetility — failed miserably. It drained the battery completely and caused repeated on/off cycling that damaged both our TV and Xbox. The system didn’t protect our home, it destroyed our electronics.

When I called for support, the technicians came out and admitted that a regulator was never installed — something that should have been done from the beginning. This wasn’t a freak accident. This was a clear case of gross negligence by Wetility’s team.

To make matters worse, the so-called support has been a complete joke.

Linda, the person handling our query, has had this on her desk for over 3 weeks and has only bothered to email me twice. I’ve tried calling her multiple times — she never answers. Zero accountability, zero urgency, and a complete disregard for the inconvenience and damage they’ve caused.

Now they want me to chase down technicians and service centres to get damage reports to satisfy their insurance? The same insurance that’s only involved because they messed up in the first place? The same insurance I wouldn’t even need to deal with if they had installed the system properly?

Where is the apology? Where is the compensation? Where is the sense of responsibility?

You sold us a product that failed because of your team’s laziness, and now you’re dodging the fallout.

Avoid Wetility at all costs — unreliable systems, unqualified staff, and customer service that will leave you more frustrated than Eskom itself.
