White Flower Farm Reviews 

While I still make orders from this company occasionally, I have found a few things, compared to other mail order online nurseries, lacking. First off, their prices are a bit higher than most. Second, their shipping times are horrendous! I order a lot of plants online and have experience with many different online nurseries and this one is by far the worst when it comes to shipping times. It literally says on their site the times they are shipping for each plant and product and despite it stating "shipping now" it simply isn't true. For example, I made an order with them on the 14th of a certain month, and they didn't ship out till the following month, despite the shipping information under the plants stating they were shipping "now". I received it nearly a month later, 25 days later to be exact! Last time I ordered something online and it taking nearly a month to receive was when I ordered something from CHINA! While plants come perfectly fine, and that's what is certainly important here, I can't help but give them a low rating because of shipping times and their prices being higher. I don't mind paying higher prices, but when I receive something that is the same size, condition, and product from other companies for cheaper, I can't justify it. They are not being clear on their website as to the exact shipping times. Now, they give a long spiel about how they will delay shipping due to weather from them to you to make sure plants arrive healthy, but this is simply BS. I order from many different sites and none have problems shipping out in a timely manner, and they are in the same area as White Flower Farm. My theory is they do not have enough hands working for them. If they are getting overwhelmed with orders they should be hiring more hands to help with demand, because their quality of business is deteriorating. Being an online retailer and nursery in our modern era, with online shopping taking off, they need to work on their communication on their site. They need to improve drastically on getting things shipped out in a more timely manner just like all the rest of the online nurseries. All we need is clearer and more accurate information about shipping times and you will have solved your low rating. No I do not want anything to be appeased, I prefer you fix this issue for everyone that may order from you. Thanks.

It may be a nice place to visit, but don't order anything from them!

On December 3 I ordered some bulbs to give as Christmas presents, and noted on the order that they were to be shipped as soon as possible. Now, today, December 18 (over 2 weeks later), I get a notice that they were shipped today, and I have no idea when I might receive them - Totally NOT Acceptable!

I am so very, very thrilled. We have already eaten some peppers and our tomato plant s are loaded with flowers. I am THRILLED with this company and the quality of their plants. Our plants are growing on a second floor deck. They are healthy and beautiful and this is the first time we have ever had such success. I must also mention their CUSTOMER SERVICE is 5 STARS. We had a delivery plant and I called and it was taken care of very quickly. This is an outstanding to purchase from. Getting ready to place my second order Rudloff Sanford NC.

spent 25 minutes on hold listening to awful music to find that they were out of the plant I had ordered and that I had to wait til September to get it.

Creepy person on the phone with no personality wasn't even sorry they hadn't told me about the delay. Said it was MY fault.

Plants were delivered in excellent shape. Very healthy, growing nice.

I had received a gift card for White Flower Farm some time back and finally got around to using it to buy a set of six lavender plants. All aspects of the purchase went smoothly. The customer service rep with whom I spoke was helpful and efficient, and the shipment arrived in perfect condition. I have planted everything and now have to wait to see how well the lavender plant do over time.

I received three double pink knock out roses from you and happened to see the same one at the home depot for half the price and planted yours and theirs in same situation and Home depots's is twice the size and twice the flowers.

Stumbled across White Flower Farm while looking for some pepper plants. I do a patio garden and do not need more than one of what I want. Nice variety here, items arrive safe & sound, good quality and so far nothing had died on me before the season ended. I try some new things each year. This year included strawberries, Thai Chili Peppers, some herbs and a flower for my shady spot. Last year I had herbs (frozen when picked and not used) thru January. Nice to sit out and watch them grow. Well worth looking at for your gardening needs.

My Philadelphus plants arrives with flower buds. They have bushed out in only 2 weeks. Can't wait to smell the flowers!

I remember planting a garden on the left side of my driveway. I wanted an every season type of garden (March thru October). This was in Colorado Springs, before the drought settled in to stay. I started with peat moss and black dirt, and more peat moss, and sheep manure, and more manure. I worked at the USPS and happened to see a copy of White Flower catalog go through the system. I wrote down the phone number and ordered a catalog. I filled my garden with tulip bulbs and flowering bushes, and lilies and the state flower , Rocky Mountain Columbine, and many other varieties. Now I'm in the cold Midwest (Level 4 for planting). I've tried to duplicate some flowers, but with the White Flower catalog, I've added clemantis, daylilies, irises, and he wonderful columbine, and I've got a long way to go.

White Flower Farm not only ships very healthy plants well, but they stand by their commitment to both their plants and their customers. Among plants I ordered, were two 'Coral Cove' and two 'Kiss Me' roses. The two 'Coral Cove' rose bushes had a darker stems, so I thought maybe the variety was different, but two weeks later when the 'Kiss Me' rose bushes were branching out profusely and nary a sign of life in my 'Coral Cove' rose bushes, I called White Flower Farm's Customer Service and one of the first things I was told was that they would ship new rose bushes if these did not adjust to their new environment. After a very impressively logical series of short queries as to "Was it cooler this year in our locale", etc, the genuinely friendly customer service lady suggested I wait another week and see if the "Coral Cove" rose bushes would "Wake Up" and again reassured me that if they did not, new plants would be on their way. Lo and Behold, a few days later, they began leafing out, and in a very few days were as vibrant looking and apparently thriving as well as the 'Kiss Me' rosebushes. As a novice gardener with a concern, I was treated with dignity, true professionalism, and by the specific queries, could tell that White Flower Farm personnel know their plants and the "larger picture" of plant needs. I already have recommended White Flower Farm to others. Customer Service is delightfully helpful and my rosebushes are thriving!

My girlfriend gave me a gift card to White Flower Farms when my brother passed away. She wanted me to purchase a plant for my garden in remembrance of him. I fell in love with the Lungwort that I purchased locally for $9.99, so I decided to give two other varieties a try. I purchased these other varieties of Lungworts from WFF with my gift card and was extremely disappointed. They arrived root bound, yellow, near death and they were over priced. I have placed them in ground and can only hope for the best.

I was planning my summer garden and found the best selection from White Flower Farms. The service was so great they honored my request to ship after a specific date everything arrived in superb condition. Now the fun begins!

After having received plants that were dead and late, I called WFF and asked for a refund (np). I asked to speak with a supervisor. Diane called me and I explained how disappointed I was and how I'd lost confidence in WFF. I'd been ordering from them for years and now they'd lost me. I felt that they should send me at least something 'on the house'. She told me she'd get back to me.

It's now four days later and I have planted my tomatoes! I haven't had time to get the bush cuke into its pot. She expedited shipping and now I have my plants.

Thank you WFF for doing the right thing and for reinstating my confidence in you. Your plants are of high quality and clearly so is your customer service.

Disappointed with my purchase this year. In the Apricot Allegro collection, the
mango tango calibrachoa in full bloom is fuschia/strong pink. The verbena substituted for the gomphrena is advertised as growing 4 - 5' tall, so I'm not excited about putting it in my deck pot. The three black petunias arrived soggy and with some wilted leaves.
I cut them back and hope at least one of them survives. Each day there is more dead
on two of the plants...oh my...

Plants from White Flower Farm are always well packaged and of reasonable maturity.

Not much else to say other than what i said in one sentence. I have purchased plants from White Flower for the last several years they always arrived in great shape and when there was a problem they immediately rectified it. The collections for pots are beautiful, I have had many complements on my "Gardening Knowledge" when people have seen these pots.

I received healthy looking plants that were packed securely and in such a way that I could easily open them and provide care when I was unable to plant right away. I planted the raspberry plant last year and then we had the coldest winter on record. I was certain my plant wouldn't come back in the spring since it is in a planter and hadn't gotten established but it's full and strong this year. I got some raspberries off of the plant last year, the same season I purchased it. I purchased a blueberry plant this year and so far, so good!
