Delicious venison and ale pies - good size and lots of filling and the pastry was excellent. Two good looking pheasants waiting to be cooked. Arrived on day stated, very well packaged.

Annabel was also extremely professional in regard to checking whether my delivery had arrived. I had an absolutely awful experience with this company. The turkey I ordered for our festive meal arrived rancid — the smell alone was enough to tell something was seriously wrong. It completely ruined our Christmas dinner and left me scrambling to feed embarrassed guests.
What made it even worse was the company’s response. Instead of taking responsibility or even showing concern, they immediately blamed me, insisting I must not have refrigerated it properly. That was absolutely not the case. Their refusal to acknowledge the issue or offer any refund or meaningful support was infuriating.
After reading other reviews, it seems I’m not the only one who’s had this happen. Based on my experience, I will never order from this company again, and I strongly recommend others look elsewhere for their holiday meats.

Shopping with you was absolutely fine and it was a gift that was very well recieved by the recipient.
My only problem was that for some reason the delivery address defaulted to the billing address, which meant I had to be in touch with the company to make the correction. Other than that all fine!

I ordered some wild rabbits
I ordered some wild rabbits. They arrived still containing the guts. They were obviously days old because the meat had gone green and rancid. I contacted them and was met with an equally rancid reply.

As mentioned in my earlier email, your order was for in-fur rabbit, which does include the guts. Our website explains this as follows:
“All the birds and animals that we provide have been carefully selected so that the fur and feathers are as unblemished as possible following culling. However, it is impossible to judge the condition of the meat with the fur and feather remaining, which means that the meat could be damaged more significantly than if it had been processed, graded, and sold oven-ready. Customers selecting the in-fur/feather option for processing and eating themselves must accept that the Wild Meat Company has not been able to undertake any meat quality control on those products.”
