very poor service - avoid them at all costs

Very poor service, especially considering which aspects of life this company are supposed to help with. requested the POA's that this company were holding, nothing turned up - they tried to blame Royal Mail, so requested the POA's again and nothing, they dont reply to phone calls and emails. I issued a formal complaint and nobody ever bothered to reply. Absolute disgrace of a company

Again there for us

Again there for us. Have always been honest and transparent, Dan has always been available to answer any question we have had and will always point us in the right direction. 100% works for the client, highly recommend.

AVOID LIKE THE PLAGUE!!!

I can honestly say I would totally avoid the Will and Trust Company, Tollesbury!
We have had nothing but bad experience using them!
They are never in the office, claimed they never received important documents from Land Registry which had been sent via post & email!
Didn't respond to texts, emails or phone calls!
Failed to follow things up even when they still hadn't been resolved 10 months later!
Disgusting state of affairs! I really don't understand how they continue to run as a company & Dan Attfield being the worst of all of them no longer dealing with things once questioned over the not dealing of matters!
Paperwork sent out after it had been completed!
Incorrect paperwork sent out!
Just one excuse after another regards the staff who none of them seem to have a clue what they are doing or what the other one is doing come to that!
The whole process was like going to the circus!
AVOID LIKE THE PLAGUE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Be very careful

Be very careful. Our file was transferred to Dan Attfield at The Will and Trust Company without our knowledge when David Blakesley of Phoenix Wills retired and no one bothered to tell us. It took a lot of effort and stress to track down what had happened to our papers and in particular our house deeds when we were about to sell our home. The Society of Will Writers eventually confirmed that the public has no protection in connection with their personal data being passed on and there is no obligation for any new company to continue service. Dan Attfield gave us no tailored guidance or advice with amended wills. He asked for additional funds in connection with our LPAs; those that David Blakesley had finalised were invalid due to his incompetence. The whole debacle turned out to be much more expensive than engaging a proper solicitor. If you use a will writing company you do so entirely at your own risk. Please note that you need absolutely no legal qualification or even experience to become a will writer (just Google it). Investigation through a complaints’ procedure with the Society of Will Writers reveals a lot of complicated and unfathomable loopholes ensuring that there is no penalty for their members and no best standard of practice. Good luck if you continue with a will writing service.
