Not only are the glasses awesome (I own 7 different pairs), the fact that we can get them replaced under lifetime warranty make me a customer for life!

This company has excellent customer service and this is coming from someone who works in the customer service industry. I highly recommend their sunglasses. You will not be disappointed.

The way the team treats me, a costumer, is like I was one of the team. There’s a big feeling of them wanting to help me as soon as possible and as best as possible. In today’s economy that’s strange and only high end businesses do so. They are the reason I continue to come back. Sunglasses are badass, make me look fantastic and everyone is flabbergasted with the hook and how functional it is. But the team are the real stars here!

I bought my titanium pair (The Level) 2018, 7 years ago and honestly these are the best sunglasses ever. I have been wearing them every single day for that time and they lasted everything. I have dropped them many, many times and not even a scratch on them. Just amazing quality and durability.
And now 7 years later I finally managed to break them, so I contacted the guys from William Painter to use the lifetime warranty they provide. I send them an e-mail and they responded in less than 12 hours. They explained me everything, how to use the warranty and how can I get my new pair, because I live in Bulgaria, so they will have to ship the sunglasses to Europe.
Great experience with the product and great experience with the customer service.
I strongly recommend the brand to everybody who wants to get the best quality sunglasses, much better than the Ray Ban, and to everyone who wants to be original.

Sutton responded promptly to my warranty claim with enthusiasm not normally seen in customer service these days. The email actually made me laugh which I appreciate. Glad to see some people are able to approach their job with a lightheartedness that is lacking in most corporate culture these days.

I had the unfortunate experience of getting my sunglasses stolen, and I reached out to customer service to get them replaced through the lifetime warranty. I sent off an email around 4 PM, not expecting a reply before tomorrow morning before 9 AM. I was pleasantly surprised and floored when I received an email back around 6 PM, the same day, with a discount code for the new pair!!

Brittany was the one who helped me, she was very sweet and to the point, even adding some adorable GIFs to the email. I love the sunglasses, and the company. Highly recommend for great sunglasses, and even better customer service!!

I bought these William Painter sunglasses mainly because of the ads showing people jumping on them without causing any damage. They seemed tough, stylish, and worth the investment. In reality, they’re okay in design and comfort, but absolutely not unbreakable.

I’ve always treated mine with care—more like regular sunglasses than something “indestructible.” Still, one night I accidentally fell asleep with them in bed, and that was enough to snap them in two.

Then came the real frustration: the warranty. To use it, you have to ship them all the way to the US, which for me would cost at least €100 in postage. This isn’t clear when buying, and it makes the warranty practically useless if you live outside the US.

If you want them purely for the look, fine—but don’t count on them to survive rough use, and don’t expect the warranty to be worth anything if you’re not in the US. You might be better off buying a pair that’s not marketed as “unbreakable” but does come with a real, usable warranty.

Durable alternatives with better warranty:

Sunski – Recycled materials, lifetime warranty, hassle-free in Europe.

Parafina – Made from recycled plastics, 2-year warranty, easy returns within the EU.

Oakley – Strong sports sunglasses with a solid European warranty process.

Ray-Ban – Classic designs, 2-year global warranty, replacement parts widely available.

Side note: I noticed a lot of the reviewers here have only ever posted one review. Not all, but most. Makes me think quite a few might be bought.

I had a pair of glasses gifted to me years ago and I was afraid I could not use the life time warranty without receipt. Luckily, the amazing team at William Painter was able to get me another pair. Not only did they get me the new pair through the warranty, they made the whole process simple and easy. The warranty is the legit and so is the staff. Great customer service!

They also were able to process everything in time to ship with my other order, which is one of those little things that really make a difference.

Speedy customer service, but I do not like that I must spend an additional $50 on expensive glasses I bought in the first place for “life time warranty”.

I was gifted the most perfect sunglasses, William Painter’s Gold Hook. Apart from being exactly what I need, built of substantial materials, they have the added extra of being a bottle opener. It sounds odd to say glasses make me feel cool, but WOW, these glasses make me feel cool (& my eyes totally appreciate them too!). But if you put all that aside, great design, excellent product, exceptional materials, their customer service is by far the BEST I have experienced in much too long a time. If they were wise, as a sideline, they should host seminars on how to do it right. Informative, speedy, kind and humorous, they walked me through the warranty process. I am actually glad I had a question to ask because I thought the kind of handholding I was offered was extinct. It is not - the team is EXCEPTIONAL in every way. If you are looking for the perfect glasses, look no further…

The customer service is outstanding. I had a QC issue with a pair of glasses but they were quick to fix it. I highly recommend this company!
