We attended Winter Funland on 24th…

We attended Winter Funland on 24th December, morning session (10:00 – 14:00). We attended with our 4-year-old daughter and our 11-year-old autistic daughter. Whilst getting onto a ride that had stopped my daughters were screamed at by a ride operation. He shouts at them to get off the ride, he screamed in their faces very aggressively. When asked by myself why he had screamed at my daughters he told me that they had entered the ride unsafely. There were no signs or directions when getting off or on the ride. You can enter the ride from different directions and help yourself to a seat. The ride operative didn’t want to discuss the matter and kept turning his back to myself. My wife also tried to ask why he felt screaming an children’s faces was acceptable and for what reason. The ride was a child’s ride that had umbrellas and a bar against the carts, I didn’t get the name of the ride.

I went to the information desk and spoke to Carol; I once again explained the situation and Carol agreed that the ride operative should have screamed at my children and a supervisor would speak to the individual at the end of the morning session. Either Mandy or Simon would be speaking the ride operative.

I am disgusted that he thinks it is acceptable to scream at a 4-year-old and a 11-year-old autistic child. My 11-year-old suffers with panic attacks when I large crowds so to get her to attend was a massive achievement for us. She also has panic attacks when confronted and shouted at. This upset her and we had to control her panic attack, otherwise she can go into fits. We had to leave the attraction early because my daughter was so upset and distraught.

I have emailed as advised and 5 days on no response or feedback or email to advise me they are looking into the situation.

Still no response and I have even used the online form attached to the website for a response.

So much for an online feedback form that is linked to their website for ongoing issue's. Nothing back, not even an email or an apology. A company that are happy to take your money and not give good customer satisfaction.

I have received an email, they are going to investigate ... keep you posted
