We recently met Cesar for a private food-tasting tour in Valencia. As a professional chaf himself, he is extremely knowledgable about the specific preparation details of regional dishes. Perhaps best of all, he is a gentle, warm, and accomodating man... someone you would be fortunate to meet in any setting, not just in his capacity as a guide. Wonderful experience and strongly recommended.

Gelsomina was a wonderful guide. She’s genuinely nice, her English is excellent, and her tasting stops introduced us to new and delicious foods, as well as the classic French baked goods and cheeses. We were extremely impressed with Tini. She is so knowledgeable regarding all aspects of the monuments we visited. In addition she has an extremely pleasant personality allowing us to ask her questions on a wide rage of non-tourist related topics. She is a gem and thoroughly recommended.

Lule was a phenomenal tour guide. He began in the Old Town, going through its history with a very light touch, I learned not only about history, but also ownership practices, the economic drivers of the city’s growth, Swedish character and cust soundoms, he even told me a few stories about Swesish American folkways and their Swedish origins. And while informing, he was funny and very cool. It was a great time and I learned a lot!

We booked time with Bartek, who was wonderful. His knowledge about the Old Town and the Jewish Quarter in Kraków was very impressive. He was also very understanding about my Dad being hard of hearing and trying to make sure he could hear everything. We really enjoyed the experience and would recommended him to everyone!

Omar was an excellent guide. He was knowledgeable, friendly and provided great content to our tour of the Duomo. A most enjoyable and informative tour. Highly recommend!

I’m so happy I booked my custom Istanbul tour with Abdullah. We had to reschedule once due to the protests for Palestine, but Abdullah made sure to give me enough notice and find another date and time that worked for both of us. His knowledge of history and story telling keeps you hooked, wanting to know more and more. I’ve never been much of a history buff, but I am now after meeting Abdullah! I can’t wait to do more research about some of the things he told me. We visited Topkapi Palace and Galata Tower, and he told me the history about Blue Mosque and Hagia Sophia, which I had visited on my own a few days ago. Abdullah and I walked everywhere, only taking one underground tram. He was kind enough to walk me to my Bosphorous dinner cruise meeting location so I wouldn’t get lost. A real gentleman Masha Allah. I highly recommend him to anyone who wants to visit the top sites in Istanbul and learn a little history along the way ❤️

Razvan is an absolute master of this city and its history. His true gift is his ability to tie it all together! This is no “show and tell” tour. His knowledge is deep and he shares his knowledge and opinions. A five out of five star guide. Superb!

Bucharest 2025

We spent 3 hours walking at a leisurely pace through Florence to learn about both the history and culture of the city. Martina spoke excellent English and was extremely knowledgeable and enthusiastic.

A friend recommended using With Locals and I am so glad she did. We had a wonderful experience with Carlos. We did the Tram 28 tour to get an overview of several areas
We rode the tram up to an overlook are to look over the Alfalfa and out on the Tejas harbor area. Then we walked down and visited St Anthony's cathedral and other old church from time of the earthquake. We ended up in the Chiado and Baxia areas. We learned so much of the history of Portugal and Lisbon. We saw oldest bookstore of Lisbon and the large elevator. Carlos made sure that I got my taste of Ginginka and cod fish cakes. He recommended a nice quick lunch spot and made sure we knew several ways to get back to our hotel. Carlos is very personable and knowledgeable .I highly recommend selecting Carlos for a full 3 hour tour of Lisbon. We really knew our way around after the tour. Also be sure to check out the free Money Museum if you end up near Bank of Portugal. You will appreciate currency more after seeing this museum.

We booked a private tour with Cecilia - who was amazing! In 3 hours she showed us the most amazing things, including her personal favourites. We learned so much and were able to find spots away from the biggest crowds. I would definitely book another tour with her. And so worth the investment! Yes, there are lots of other tours, but the ability to interact with Cecilia throughout the afternoon was a treat.

We (2 females) had a great time with Adil! He showed us around the Medina, and we had good local food & drinks. The food is more than enough so you will not be hungry untill the next day 😃 Adil is very flexibel (on our way we wanted to buy some souvenirs and he adjusted the tour) he talks with passion about Marrakech and is a really good host.

Eleni was very knowledgeable and taught us many surprising things about Athens. We only had one day for our visit so the tour helped to learn as much as possible about the city in a relatively short time. We were a little tired by the end, but it was absolutely worth it. She was also helpful in planning for how to deal with the general strike the following day.

My sister and I had a wonderful 2 hour introductory tour of Strasbourg with Atreyu. He took us to all the high points in and around the city center with insightful commentary about the history of the city and what the current living experience is there. He also made a fantastic lunch recommendation and even pointed us in the direction of the best eclairs in the city. Highly recommend for anyone visiting Strasbourg!

I can't say enough good things about Armando, and the expert instruction he provided during our class! With his many years of learning the craft of pizza making from his grandparents in Napoli, he's an absolute expert. Recipes are one thing, but his close attention to the techniques involved in making the dough just right were perfect, and memorable. Once our dough was kneaded and formed, he allowed us to choose our own toppings to make the finished product our own. The end results were delicious! Armando is a great instructor, and his passion for pizza is clear. But, should he ask you if pineapple is an appropriate topping, the answer is (and should be) a firm and resounding "no." This was a true highlight of our visit to Milan! Thanks, Armando!
