Wix's SEO Setup Checklist has DESTROYED my business at the exact point of my new site launch because of working with these incompetents.

By using their SEO Setup Checklist, Wix indexed my site in Google with NO favicon in the source code resulting in a completely random favicon immediately displaying against my site in Google! An individual at Wix's Help Centre then contacted Google (WITHOUT my knowledge as to what they said) and my website then completely deranked from number 2 in Google's search results to not appearing at all!

My Google Search Console (GSC) which was also connected to my site by Wix through their SEO Setup Checklist (by way of meta tag which is not a stable way of doing this), then randomly stopped working due to verification issues, and a random TXT record for Google Site Authentication added to my website records held with Wix without my consent.

By using Wix's SEO Setup Checklist, it appears that my website and DNS records were compromised and hacked by Wix leading to the sudden deranking. Consistently, individuals at Wix were undertaking actions on my GSC WITHOUT my consent and I had to disconnect them from my GSC account.

I am now in a situation where my website and domain cannot be used and I have resultant astronomical damage to my brand and business.

In Bing and Yahoo and other search engines where there was NO intervention by Wix in indexing my site, my site appears perfectly, ranking in first place with zero issues.

Wix have not investigated all of this in a competent or timely manner at all to date (despite this being an extremely serious issue) and the 'Case Manager' for my support ticket 'Liza' even went on holiday for several days leaving nobody to cover for this extremely serious issue in her absence and then failed to get in contact on her return.

Disgusting company and individuals.

Do NOT use Wix's SEO or your business could also be destroyed due to their complete incompetence and negligence.

I asked for 1 month contract I was given 4months. I told them no still keep taking my money you have blocked me for calling you won’t reply to my messages

Obviously, as a building and roofing company, during the pandemic our work completely dried up. Things were getting pretty desperate so I asked Wix SEO UK for help. They were great.

I should have gone with gut instinct - a negative review followed by several 5 star reviews all on the same date and including someone with the same surname as the director.
WIX SEO had no problem taking the upfront payment from me but communications since have been almost impossible with no credible explanation why web visits have completely stopped since WIX SEO carried out their 'work'.
I'm not in the habit of writing reviews but losing £700, wasting time and not being able to communicate with WIX SEO is beyond what's reasonable. We all make mistakes but mistakes are a golden opportunity to show what you CAN do (assuming you care).

I Contacted Wix SEO UK because they were suggested to me on the Wix marketplace. I had my website up and running for nearly 3 - months from Sept 2020 but being in a competitive space ( Selling specialist running gear ) I was really struggling to be found on Google.

I have had a web site with Wix for over decade and wanted to get some help with SEO. Wix directed me to a company called wixseouk.co.uk. I was offered a one month or three month service to help my SEO and was informed that the three month was cancellable at any time. So I opted for the three month service. I was put in touch with one of their "experts" - and I was asked to give them access to my google accounts - They ran a report on my web site which was helpful but in a matter of hours they had messed up the google my business page and the links to my adwords. I disconnected them the accounts and fixed their mess.
I cancelled the service, but their "senior account manager" decided to say that I had signed a 3 month agreement and insists that I will pay for it regardless.

Take it from me this is one of those companies that is one page ahead in the instruction manual, they are not experts at all - they will be able to fool lots of people who are new to Google SEO, but, in my experience they are not only a compete waste of money, but also extremely unprofessional.

Funny isn't it......they haven't even activated their own Google Business Page (A company claiming to be a google SEO expert) I imagine because their customers would be able to leave direct reviews about them - and if my experience is anything to go by then it wouldn't help their business.

Update - WIXSEO have used my credit card details to extract payment for a service that I have cancelled.

Update - Many months after my service was cancelled this company is still trying to debit my credit card - Mastercard are onto them and have refunded all charges to me, but wiseseouk still trying to take money each month. I am reporting them to the police
