I placed an order for a number of Items, when they arrived one item (pretend persil tablets ) was missing and the bread basket I ordered arrived as a sweet treat basket. I called the company and spoken to a chap called Andrew who asked me to email in. There was a promise by email to send you the persil tablets and prepayment label for me to return the sweet treats I had not ordered so I could get a refund. To date no persil tablets have arrived and no prepayment label. I sent another email today and was told to reply to the last email the company sent me which said they were sending the persil tablets that day and the returns label!!! So what’s should I I reply to??? I’m going to raise a dispute with my bank tomorrow as obviously Andrew who I I have been emailing is not doing his job! It’s all very disappointing!

Ordered a garage was 66,00 what a piece of crap expected a good strong wooden garage more like ply board got it in November all parts cars an screws missing contacted them to tell them I wasn't happy they wouldn't send return labels an told me it was at my cost as well so decided to keep it an wait for parts they eventually came on Christmas eve late afternoon . After I had to go purchase another its so crap I got one for ten pound an is for superior to this rubbish thanks again but will not use you again

I really wish I had read the reviews on here before ordering from this company.
Just recently I placed an order for wooden play food for my Grandsons birthday.The order arrived promptly but on receiving the parcel the box had a huge gash on the side. The order inside was packed very poorly and all the items were loose so I was fortunate that all the pieces hadn’t escaped through the hole in the box whilst in transit!! Due to the very substandard packing some of the items had transference marks on them.
I emailed the company to complain and asked for new and it was suggested the whole order was returned. I explained that I needed the order for my Grandsons imminent birthday. He suggested that I use an eraser for the marks! There was no apology for the state of the poorly packed toys and no suggestion of perhaps sending some more as a gesture of good will.
The emails had an air of arrogance and I told them that I was very disappointed with their attitude and would not order again.
I would suggest that this company is avoided at all cost!!!

This is the first review I have done on an internet company but felt I should warn other people about this totally unprofessional set up. I ordered a Janod ABC baby walker from Woodentoyshop for my grandsons 1st birthday. When it arrived. It had a wobbly wheel. This was due to 3 of the wheels touching the floor as they should but the fourth wheel was raised. This made the walker unstable and therefore dangerous for a one year old baby.
I telephoned 'Andrew' at the Wooden toy shop the next day at 9am to request a replacement and wanted to know how I sent the toy back to the store. I asked if the next one they sent could be checked first before sending it out as my grandsons birthday was imminent. He said it couldn't be checked as it comes from another source. Unfortunately I must have caught him on a bad day. He was rude and obnoxious and just kept going on about all his 140 e mails he had to deal with and the fact that I had rang at 9am with my problem. I asked if I could speak to someone calmer and more senior but he said he was the CEO. I then gave up and asked for a refund. which under their 'no quibble refund guarantee' i was entitled to.He accused me of being aggressive, I am a retired nurse and never been aggressive in my life I was shocked and upset by his attitude he just was not listening to me at all so much so he slammed the phone down on me!!

I rang back and said I didn't want to argue but just wanted to know how to send the item back. The next day after finding out how to return the item I sent it via Hermes at our local collect store. It was accepted and checked by the courier return service.
After 10 days I decided to ring Woodentoyshop to see when my refund would be paid as again in the policy it says within 7 days Andrew said I would not be receiving a refund as they had found nothing wrong with the buggy but that the outer box I had sent it in was not in a resalable condition in fact to quote him “YOU SENT IT BACK TERRIBLE” I explained that I had sent it back exactly as l received it. Both my husband and l had noticed the outer box did look as though it had been used many times so I had purposely taped it up very carefully before I took it to the courier.
I then decided enough was enough they now had the walker and my money. So have now put it in the hands of my bank.

Received item on time. Had parts missing, on telephoning to request missing parts the customer service was very unprofessional and not followed through. Email has not been responded to and mssing parts have not been received. Will not be purchasing from again or recommending.

Lovely lady helped me place the order over the phone and my order arrived before 10 am the next morning. Beautiful wooden toys, my gran children will adore them.

Very impressed with the toy sets I have bought from Woodentoyshop, for xmas presents for my young nieces. Toys were delivered on time and found the communication with the staff at Woodentoyshop very helpful.

Terrible experience trying to support an independent British company instead of using Amazon. My order didn't arrived. When I phoned to find out why, the staff member was not bothered about helping. Eventually found my order and said since I'd made an error with the postage the order had been cancelled automatically - no email/call to explain this (so I could fix it or buy something else) and they'd still taken payment. When I asked to talk to a manager or finance dept about it they wouldn't let me talk to anyone who could help.
The error I had made in postage was that I had opted for 'mainland UK' in the postage because I live in Inverness which IS on the mainland. It hadn't occurred to me to me to read all the other options where later it said 'Highlands and Islands' is excluded from what they count as the Mainland.

I would not deal with this 'company' again. They sent me an item (music set) with a damaged box and one item missing out of the set. This was meant to be a Christmas present for my little girl. They have offered no apology at all , and their one solution, which was to post the very large item back (this will be difficult as the nearest depot is not that close) They were extremely rude, personal and unprofessional in their emails and do not take phone calls. When I suggested they could just post me the missing item (a harmonica which is sold separately on their website) I have had no reply. I am just so disappointed in this whole experience, I do most of my shopping online and have never encountered such terrible customer service before & I have never felt the need to write a negative review before!

The Wooden Toy Shop's merchandise is wonderful and harkens back to bygone days when the world was a simpler place. High quality and phenomenal toys for anyone's little ones! Even the Royals purchased from the Wooden Toy Shop; a Wooden Toy Train for Prince George and a Push Cart of ABC Building Blocks for Princess Charlotte! And Customer Service is beyond reproach; the owner is communicative and strives hard to make to fulfill every order in a timely manner.

Toys feel apart after 2 weeks. Customer service was awful, refused to refund and now do not accept my calls and emails. Avoid

the Wooden Toy Shop have a fantastic range of products, great knowledge of the items they sell and prices that are hard to beat. The have a great delivery record and any potential problem we have had with an item was solved with a quick email and a reply straight back.
You will not find a better company to deal with especially as Christmas approaches

Every store that deals with complaint/refund/return/damage item in a prompt and appropriate manner needs to be praised. Amazing customer service after receiving damaged goods. Reply I would not even complain if it was next day but it was within 3 min!!!
Highest marks and product I know my 3 year old princess will fall in love!

This site is packed with the most gorgeous toys that are really high quality yet don't cost the earth. I received excellent communication and the delivery was extremely prompt. I would thoroughly recommend the Wooden Toyshop and will definitely be using it again. The only warning that it should give is be prepared to spend hours deliberating which of all the lovely toys to buy!!!!!!

I was trying to place an order for some of their lovely toys but I could not get the form to submit no matter what I did( it was my fault not theirs) I must tell you that before I had settled on what to order, I had previously emailed them several times with questions on various different things.They always responded to me really quickly, in a friendly and patient manner giving me exactly the information I asked for, how rare that is these days! Anyway as I couldn't get the form to go through from my side they offered to put my order through themselves if I gave them my details and what I wanted so I did and it came through right away.Really lovely company to shop with I'd definitely shop with them again.

The WoodenToyShop are one wonderful gem of a company I heard about and after seeing a great offer purchanced some amazing wooden toys from them. I have just had a 2nd lot of toys from them ready to wrap for Xmas and as always the servce was 2nd to none. Great value wooden toys are hard to come by, what a wonderful company they are. I look forward to seeing what next to buy for LO.

I bought over £200 pounds worth of toys on the friday I got delivery of ALL the items monday morning. The toys are so reasonable I actually thought the quality wasnt going to be that good but how wrong could I be. The toys are fantastic, made so well and worth every penny (to be honest think they are cheap compared to the rubbish plastic toys you get) I would use this company time and time again they deal with everything so fast and there is nothing not one thing I can say was a problem. Even their website is so so easy to use. Amazing company thank you for such an easy transaction .

I placed an order with Woodentoyshop one evening at 5pm and received the four items two days later. All four are just what I expected and will be greatly appreciated at Christmas.
Fantastic service, quality and price.

A great selection of traditional wooden toys that are built to last. My daughter loves the "Melissa and Doug" range. Perfect gifts for Christmas and an excellent service. I can't recommend the company highly enough.
