The pattern is fine, but it’s written very strangely - I assume for someone who has never knit anything before. I HATE this yarn. It’s basically wool roving… it pills, it sheds like crazy, it catches on everything, and it will not wear well. And for the price tag?!?! I’m actually really upset that I didn’t know much about yarn before making this purchase. Didn’t enjoy knitting with it, hate the way it feels, and will likely never wear it. Absolute waste of time and money, unfortunately :( Save yourself a lot of money and buy a different yarn. Literally any other yarn.

This is soft, beautiful wool and the pattern is really on-trend. I'm usually weary of a wool turtleneck pattern using yarn I haven't actually picked up and examined in person, since any scratchiness is a problem at the neckline. But I took a chance on this pattern. The texture is very soft! And the gorgeous color selections in the "Crazy Sexy Wool" line made it difficult to choose which color to order. If my "Sometimes Sweater" doesn't turn out beautifully, it won't be because the pattern or the wool was faulty... it'll be my beginner knitting skills. That said, the pattern is very straightforward and I've had great help in using the online tutorials for learning about decreases, etc. The videos are exceptionally easy to follow. Plus, Wool and the Gang has an excellent customer service (problem solving) desk for questions about the pattern and the techniques used in the project. I appreciate their help!

Stunning color, soft, snuggly wool. Leveled correctly for skill. Instructions easy to follow. Owning the instructions allows for many variations one can make down the road. The kit was beautifully designed. The needles are gorgeous. No detail was spared in quality. Well worth it!

Perfect knitting project for a beginner. Pattern was simple to follow, all supplies needed were included, and how-to videos on the site were perfect when I needed a visual explanation. Stoked to wear this sweater and proud I knitted it myself!
