WOOW AKA TRASH
Update 2 – May 13, 2025: For the second—and now third—time today, I’ve been informed that the flight never departed from the U.S. airport. This is completely unacceptable. I am now seriously considering legal action. Harassing people under the guise of being a "reliable and trusted" Facebook post may have worked before, but not anymore.
UPDATE: They are now not receiving my calls or text.
I recently had a very disappointing experience with WOOWBD while shipping a laptop from the United States to Bangladesh.
After discovering their service, I contacted them to learn more about their process. Initially, everything seemed fine, so I proceeded to ship my laptop to their New York warehouse on April 16. I insured the parcel for \$1,000 (which cost me an additional \$50), and the total shipping cost, including insurance and other fees, was estimated to be around 16,000–17,000 BDT.
According to their schedule, the parcel was supposed to arrive in Bangladesh by May 1 or 2.
However, on April 26—the day the flight from JFK > DOH > DAC was supposed to arrive—I called them for an update. Instead of providing a clear explanation, they vaguely mentioned that the shipment was delayed due to increased customs fees. This felt more like an excuse, as it's more likely the real reason was a lack of parcels to make the shipment profitable. What’s worse is that they never proactively contacted me about the delay or the fact that my parcel was still in JFK or possibly stuck at their warehouse.
When I tried to follow up by text to confirm whether the flight had departed, I was met with automated, unhelpful responses.
Eventually, they promised delivery by May 10, 11, or 12 and assured me they would try their best to deliver as soon as possible.
Today is May 11, and I called again for an update. Now they claim they were away on a trip for the past 2–3 days and had just returned. Still, they provided no clear update about my parcel. Meanwhile, I confirmed through Flightradar24 that the flight (handled by Qatar Airways and scheduled for May 10) has already landed in Bangladesh.
It’s now been 25 days since I shipped my parcel, and instead of receiving it on May 1 as promised, I’m still waiting with no clear resolution or timeline in sight. The entire experience has been frustrating and stressful.
To make matters worse, WOOWBD’s online presence appears highly misleading. They boast over 71,000 likes on their Facebook page, but their posts rarely receive more than 10–20 likes, suggesting many of those likes may have been artificially generated. They also appear to have suspiciously glowing reviews that don’t reflect the reality of their service.
WOOWBD has shown poor communication, unreliability, and a complete lack of professionalism. If you are considering using their service—avoid it at all costs. It’s simply not worth your time, money, or trust.
